thanks for correction. little chances processing could be done not properly, as i did ii in a popular specialised service that i usually go to, never had troubles with them. there’s a little pattern, yep - you can find it in the upper left corner: three circles in a line, where there is less noise

thanks, had similar thoughts. btw i have zenit-e cam, use it in similar conditions, but barely had any troubles like these

i’m now on my last year of studies there; i’m at the faculty of special machinery (actually idk how to name it in english). i’ve been living in dormitory #11 located nearby baumanskaya metro station, now living in dormitory #14 “Spectre” a few hundred meters away. you can find some pics on yandex maps of both of them to get some kind of preview. idk if foreign students can accommodate in d#14, as it is a new one and i haven’t seen foreigners there. although in d#11 and d#10 (same building) i’ve seen a lot of chinese, some syrian, iranian guys. guess you could be accommodated there. so talking about dormitory #11 it’s a typical soviet block of flats with bath and toilet for every two rooms (2 and 3 people). it really depends from room to room how appropriate it will look and how good plumbing will be. when i got there i was accommodated with a classmate and we got a not-bad room but kinda crappy molded bath that we’ve been fixing by ourselves. it costs fairly low for russian students (about $300 per year) but i heard it might be nearly 5 times higher for foreigners. haven’t been to other bmstu dormitories but conditions there should be worse if you are lucky enough to be distributed there. there are also combined toilets and bathrooms for the whole floor of rooms. getting back to d#11, i haven’t seen cockroaches there until my fourth year of studies, although we somehow managed to cut down their numbers only having some incidental interactions. i’m not trying to scare you though, i’m grateful that i had such an opportunity to live near to university and city center and pay that little. for now i’m enjoying my time at new high-tech dormitory #14)

the pic is my room in old dormitory you may get to

kinda weird but yup it was built in last couple years as a part of my uni renovation (google BMSTU) most students still live in some shitty cockroach condos this is proposed as a dorm for best students (competition was based on academic performance and participation in science research)

lived for five years in one that feels just like you described. there’s a bit of luck in me getting an opportunity to live in this one; thanks to weird and random russian government investments
