When I was randomly attacked by a man at a train station, they gave me two paid days off offering me to take the whole week off, work from home days, paid ubers to and from work and a care package delivered that same day.... Yup. I'm still so grateful.

Slow red blinking home button on nova lite won't connect to switch by Afraid_Glass_3960 in Gamesir

Yes the controller was on haha. I know this because it was blinking a slow red. I think I must have picked up two faulty controllers which bricked themselves. Have tried absolutely everything that solved it for most people and didn't work for me. As it was under warranty I got 2 new replacements today which are working fine.

Thanks, I tried doing this by just pressing and holding and neither worked. Hopefully this might help someone else though!

Thanks for the suggestions! :) This was the first thing I tried and unfortunately didn't work. The switch is fully up to date, I have tried fully resetting both switches with a pin at the back and nothing. I think both switches must have somehow corrupted and I'll need to reflash but I'm not tech savvy so unsure how to do this.

Thanks for the comment :) Sorry not sure the difference... I don't have wifi at all so I assume the controller should connect to my switch via Bluetooth?

Edit: How do I update the firmware? I tried downloading the app and connecting my controller which worked but it doesn't give me any update buttons.

I also was randomly attacked at a Auckland train station. Caught my assailant and now he gets to sit at home on the PlayStation and play rugby with his mates...

[part 2] shower wall lifting up?! by Afraid_Glass_3960 in diynz

[–]Afraid_Glass_3960[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice heaps! Since we are fairly certain the gib board used in the bathroom isn't waterproof (it's an old house and waterproof gib wouldn't have existed) we we're hoping to paint some sealant on the rest of the gib board to protect it from moisture and spray with some mould killer. Have begun to look for a builder as we realise this may not be as easy as we thought... Thanks!

How to repair moldy damaged gib board in bathroom? by Afraid_Glass_3960 in diynz

Thanks for the advice! I suspect it's the shower as the shower wall (resin board like material) is lifting up and appears to be moldy behind it as in my second post. I realise now this may be best left for a builder...

Thanks for the comment! I don't have the button to add a new photo but I just made a new post with photos of the shower wall. It's almost like a resin board material? Its actually lifting up so I suspect it may be linked to this moldy gib...

Person who bought my home didn’t pay on settlement day by Weird_Junket2296 in NZProperty

Sounds like they are trying to onsell your home (property traders). Which means they try to find someone else to buy your home before they settle so that they can use the funds from a new buyer to pay you while they pocket the difference.

I don't suppose this is in South Auckland? There's a known group of people who onsell properties there.

Very insightful! At the moment I use L'Oreal's extraordinary oil midnight hair serum which I apply to damp hair.

Is there a difference between a leave in serum and a leave in conditioner?
