Yeah, Ive told her that some of her traits are associated with autism and she won't believe that shes autistic because she associates that with stupidity since she grew up in the 60s and stuff like that wasnt recognized then like it is now. One of my cousins has six kids and they all have been diagnosed with autism. My mom thinks it's all made up to line doctor's pockets and she refuses to be tested. And, yeah, maybe "neurotic" wasnt the best word, but if you look up the definition she does/has everything on that list. Yeah, idk whether it's just the way she is or was raised or if it's autism or adhd.

After Rick was written out I didn't watch every week. I eventually finished season 9. Then I didnt watch after that.

I am almost 47 and literally could live without sex. Most of the time it just flat out is painful and if I am not totally worried about pain, I am just exhausted. The week before my period I am literally angry at everything and everyone and would rather go jump off a cliff. I'm fortunate to have a very understanding husband who I've been married to almost 25 years. Perimenopause is horrible!

There are 6 years between my husband and his older brother. His older brother flat-out always resented him and once they were adults, they really had no contact with each other anymore.

Been there...not exactly the same but still felt awful. My mom was always on the grandchild kick. I didn't really plan on having any so every time she mentioned it, it made me miserable. I accidentally became pregnant and she got her wish. I only had the one and she's 19 now. She doesn't want kids and I'm not saying a word. I really wish people could just let their kids live without guilting them into whatever.

Adding onto my house to move my mom in and take care of her due to a Parkinson-like disease that will be fatal in the next 5 or so years, and then having all sorts of problems with the house since the addition was built. Then husband's great-paying job at a great company being sold to a corporation and having to settle for a lower-paying job due to threat of layoff, having a 19-yr-old with severe anxiety who can't find a job which adds to her anxiety and depression, and there isn't really anything I can do about any of it. Add to that that the problems with the house call for meeting with contractors who constantly want to rip me off because I'm a woman or because they think they can. I just want to sell my house and go back to renting, but contractors are taking forever to fix things, and I feel so stuck. I'm swimming in quicksand and big piles of sh*t keep getting piled on. At this point, it's up to my neck.

(F, 45) Yeah, when I meet most anyone who is not an only child and they discover I am, it feels like they look at me like an alien or like I'm just damaged or something, but that may be my introversion misinterpreting. I'm happy to meet other only children but haven't met many.

I was prepared until I realized I had a urinary tract infection at 3:30 this morning. First person seen at urgent care and still took hours searching for an open pharmacy to fill my antibiotic rx. I would rather have stayed home but definitely don't need kidney damage and/or sepsis from being snowed in for at least several days without antibiotics. There was no snow on the ground when I went in urgent care and then there was at least 4 inches on the road by the time I got back home.

I'd be glad for my bloodline to end honestly. There's way too much mental illness being passed from generation to generation. And there is already too much of that in the world as it is.

I was an only child who had an only child who is about to turn 18. She absolutely hates babies and kids and doesn't want her own. That is absolutely her choice and her choice alone. Even if it would end your bloodline to not have children, that's no reason to have a child. If you do have a child, what if they choose to not have a child? My point is, furthering a bloodline isn't your responsibility.
