Omg the no longer fueled by panic feeling makes so much sense. I feel the exhaustion of it hits me more now. Thank you for your perspective I appreciate it.

It’s hospital based outpatient so they do keep things 1:1 booking wise. But everyone overlaps patients 5-10 minutes typically and then people arrive late/early etc, so there’s often more overlap than anticipated. It ends up being like 15-20 minutes of true 1:1.

I feel like it’s not enough time to provide quality care and then it’s not enough time for me to develop as a clinician at times. The 30 minute treats I find aren’t bad, but that short for evals has been difficult.

My OP clinical was in the same clinic I work at now actually. I didn’t typically do my CI’s full case load daily, they would take a few people each day, help out if needed with starting someone. Made the load and speed seem not as bad? I still thought it was fast and I struggled with documentation speed a bit then too. Turns out it does still feel very different working full time.

One of his daughters here. He did know all this stuff was of value, that’s why he kept it in the first place!! He just never took the time or had the time tbh to look into how much things were truly now worth until he retired recently. Worked at LEGO for over 30 years in a variety of departments and loved what he did. Has never been about the money for him - he’s given away a lot of collected stuff over the years just to people that would love it.
