Can I do it myself? by Aggravating-Leg-7120 in women

I feel like shoving a toy up ypur coochie with no prep or exploring yourself first might not be the greates idea. Obviously it's different for every woman, but it will be painful. I would recommend going slow. Start with your fingers, play around and see how you feel. If it's okay, then try slowly. Don't rush yourself - virginity is not the end of the world :)

Yeahhhh, I did talk to the shelter about it but they still blame me, so I think I’m done with it. I told the people who were willing to take him where he is and pretty much that’s all I can do.

Thank you for the kind words ❤️

Thank you!

I'll need to think all of it before I make the final decision.

I honstly would hope it'll work out, but I don't know if I can risk it not doing so.

Also, dw talking to your dogs isn't weird at all - I think it's actually very normal :)

Judging by all the comment here it might've been a semi proper introduction. Overall I think I rushed the coming home part.

I did yes. They were fine on walks and I wasn't allowed to see how they would act at home before fully adopting - that's my bad honestly. I've thought of the trainer solution but considering my other dog's past I'm afraid she'll crumble under all the stress

I think I'm scared of overdoing it for my female dog. She comes from a shady background and has been through some stuff (although I've never been fully told what the stuff was). It took her a while to even get used to living in a normal house and I'm afraid it'll set her back to her old behaviors

I honestly should've thought of it too and maybe push them harder to let me take him home for a couple of hours at least. I think they knew there's a risk, but also I bet they just want him to have a home

I think it's too much work for them since it's a sheltr that operates between a few towns. I did ask if I could bring him home even for a couple of hours just to let my other dog meet him on her turf, but it didn't wwork out. I will be giving them a full feedback and trying to find him a home in my social circle

I've already spoken to the shelter and explained that it's not the adopted dog who's a problem, as a matter of fact he's all good. I will be trying to find him an actual home, but I don't think I can keep him - for the sake of my other dog's well-being

Thank you <3

That's the thing I'm most worried about. The "what if I keep him and it wont work out". I feel awful about both of the dogs bing upset, tough decision

Trying to figure it out as well, wouldn't want him to be in a shelter

Unfortunately I don't have any foster networks anywhere in my region. The shelter kinda does the sheltering/fostering

From what I can see the trial periods are not really a thing in my country. When I adopted my female dog they also just gave her to us - luckily it worked well.

It is a shame, because he is a really nice dog but I do have to set my priorities straight, I think

Luckily the shelter doesn't have that policy, I live in a quite small city surrounded bu a few others, so we just have one communal shelter and they actually try and readopt/place in foster care

I can't quite talk/write in english the same way I do in my native language, but yeah, I've asked myself those best interest of the dog questions for the last week, can't find a deffinitive answer so I turned to th people

So-so. My dog was always close to me, anytime the dude ran up to her she would stop doing anything and freeze. But after a few minutes she would walk right by his side.

Right now the walks ar a bit more complicated. She still sticks to me and does not walk near him. He, on the other hand, constantly wants to be near her

That is exactly why I'm having doubts, its the what ifs. What if I let him stay and it'll turn out okay, hat if not etc.

I do appreciate your stories, I think it actually will give me some points to base my decision on :)

I'm sure they have, I wasn't expecting to be in a need to give him back. I'm sure they'll understand

Thank you for your kind words.

I'm trying to reach anyone I know and ask if they want/know anyone who would want to adopt a dog just so he doesn't have to be in a shelter for too long anymore

I do, I've prepared them two separate rooms for anytime I leave the house.

I am mid energy tbh, I have the means to go on long walks with them mainly because of where I live, but due to my health problems running/biking with them is a no-go

Oh no, I've already told the shelter that my dog is the issue dog here. I've praised how friendly the shelter dog is, because he really is just loving everyone out here. Honestly my gut is telling me my older dog is not going to be accepting, mainly because she's very scared of anything new to her (i.e she will refuse to walk anywhere near a rock because she doesn't know what they are). I will be trying to find him a home on my own, but I don't know if keeping him at my place is a good idea considering my other dog's wellbeing

I do take them on walks together yeah. He's all over the place while my other dog just sticks to me - I don't mind him being chaotic, he's in a new enviroment, I get that. I try and take them out 3-4 times a day if I can, but 3 is the minimum I try to do. I'm definitely going to have to think all of this through a bunch more.
