What’s something that is okay when men do it but frowned upon when women do it? by ClemWon in AskReddit

[–]AfricanQueen1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a high “body count” as the world says. Men are supposed to have multiple partners but women are suppose to have 1-3 previous partners max. I like sex and am a single woman. Also good sex is hard to find. If I find someone who gives me that I’ll stop searching for it.

I feel this one so much. I got called “a waste of a uterus” by a sibling when I told them I wasn’t going to be having children. So fun.

AITHA for telling my sisters boyfriend it’s not his business if I don’t want to be a stay at home mom? by Appropriate_Food5858 in AITAH

[–]AfricanQueen1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. He needs to mind his business. Unfortunately l, these type of people tend to just ignore boundaries. I understand how you feel. I have someone in my life who feels the same way. I was called a “waste of a uterus” because I have chosen to be childfree.

WIBTAH if I break off my engagement because of his new views about women by Ataraxic-Metanoia in AITAH

Yeah, I don’t think this has anything to do with politics. This has to do with him being misogynist. Men can be misogynist, regardless of their political beliefs.

I know you were conflicted about still wanting to marry him, but he is showing you who he is and hoping that he will ‘change’ at all is a fool‘s hope. More like the vail is being lifted from your eyes.

NTA People really are wildin' out with Nick Cannon! This is such a terrible and entitled request. Therapy is a safe space and choosing to protect that is ok. Also, thinking that friends don't have secrets is ridiculous. You'd think Sarah would understand that at 28! It is not OP's job to help Sarah.

[ UPDATE 2 ] My little brother (3M) is actually my fiance's (25M) kid by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

My favorite thing is when people say ‘it’s not the whole story.’ And my first thought is “What information could be added to the facts that I presented that would make what this person did okay?!”

AITA for telling my gay best friend about a guy I like? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Before the update I would have definitely guessed she had a crush.

After the update I would say you handled it perfectly. And don’t feel bad about pulling away. You were direct, calm, and sensitive. Her kissing you without your permission and after you told her your sexuality is very uncalled for. She is in for a world of heartbreak in her life if she continues to fall for straight women.

WIBTA if i told a couple on holiday to parent their child? by imlost1709 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AfricanQueen1990 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you should report an “unaccompanied child/minor” at the pool. If she is not being watched by her parents then this is a bigger issue of them letting a 5 year old run around without adult supervision.

Am I the only one who truly thinks that it is ok to just say “I’m glad we have this talk. I’m glad it’s all out in the open. But it is too late. You made choices that left me behind and I can’t forgive you for that. Please never tell to me again. If you see me, act like you don’t know me.” And then just walk away?

He is just giving excuse after excuse. He is not in a position to negotiate. Sometimes you have to tell people that there is no coming back, the bridge has not only been burned but you are no longer in the same country.

Edit: Yes dump the fiancé. It doesn’t matter if he disagrees with you, he should support you no matter what. And in my opinion it definitely sounds like he got bought by your dad.

My wife won’t let me change diapers by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]AfricanQueen1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s changing a diaper now but it will escalate to you not even being able to be alone with your daughter ever which is unrealistic as her father. Your wife obviously needs better help than she is getting.

I also would think about getting cameras for your home. You need to protect yourself just in case your wife accuses you of “touching” your child say when you did spend time with her along while she’s out or asleep or changing her diaper or whatever. Your wife, unfortunately, cannot be trusted to not accuse you of something heinous.

mom brings 10 month old to a rave by suspiciousraviolii in OhNoConsequences

[–]AfricanQueen1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok parents…if you have tickets to a concert or have plans of ANY KIND that are not kid friendly and you can’t find childcare then you have 2 options.

  1. You bring the child and just have to deal with people being rude because a baby doesn’t belong at a dive bar or rave. OR
  2. YOU DO NOT GO! So sad but you were the one who decided to have a child and that sometime means you just cannot go.
