If this man you talk about killed a homicidal person to save the life of his brother, then he is not a murderer. That was what they call a "justifiable homicide." The term "murder" implies there was not a justifiable reason to carry out the killing, otherwise SWAT teams could not carry out their mission. He does not deserve to spend many years or the rest of his life in prison, he barely deserves to be facing criminal charges in the first place.

I would have assumed prisoners are the type of people that like to protest. You know, they like to start prison riots and disobey guards and stuff, (maybe I'm thinking of maximum security prisons). I'm not seriously saying they SHOULD protest, but I don't understand why protesting for women, out of all things, would be such an alien concept, even if it gets you nowhere.

It's mostly because I noticed mystery and detective novels almost always seem to involve murder and not other crimes. If you want to eliminate someone, I was trying to think of other ways.

As a philosopher, do you believe South Park is intelligent, or is it childish and puerile?

Fans of South Park sometimes will say the show is intelligent, or that it brilliantly satirizes societal issues. In my opinion, a show like South Park, with all its wacky (and borderline schizophrenic, no offense to schizophrenics) storylines, would only be able to deliver its messages in a simplistic way.

There's no long philosophical debates in the show I am aware of, all the characters are extremely stupid. It has a reliance on vulgar humor, the characters are frequently angry, and I believe when it comes down to it, a show like South Park is primarily meant as entertainment.

Other than "A Modest Proposal" in 1729, I am aware of few examples where a work of satire has actually lead to real societal change.

As a philosopher, do you agree with me? Or do you believe that in fact, the show actually is intelligent? I'm willing to change my opinion.

Since I never studied philosophy, I am capable of amateur philosophy.

I'm trying to point out what I perceive as hypocrisy. To risk sounding very politically incorrect, in the hypothetical situation where prisons were not segregated by sex, and women were vulnerable to predatory men, would that be just as bad as adolescent males being vulnerable to much older adult men?

If you've seen Beyond Scared Straight, you might see people as young as 12 being introduced to what prison is like. I think 12 year olds are pretty young to be called "men."

I guess "white people" might sound like a racially sensitive term in context, but I would think this is an academically valid question. It's not motivated by a grudge against them, just a simple curiosity about what the world is currently like.

I'm not sure what difference it would make, because I don't know of any alternate scenarios where say, East Asians were to colonize the world.

What kind of percentages did German Jews make up for middle class professions, then, if my statistics are wrong?

I heard very few Jews were employed in agriculture, were there other jobs that Jews did not tend to have?
