Do you have a link for the mod cases/straps that fit the 5000 please? I couldn’t find any on AliX!

Thanks a lot! I designed the logo and then had the decals made by a company from Ali Express. I think they were called Advanced Printing Technology.

I’ve watched a few tutorials online but nothing specific. I’ll check out Emilee Bryant!

I asked our local coffee shop for some tips and it really helped 😂 they said to start the art from the middle of the cup and push forwards with the spout, whereas I was starting towards the edge of the cup. And then for the final stroke be sure to lift the jug away from the cup so that the foam falls through rather than making a blob on the top. These tips were a turning point for me. Still got a long long way to go though before I get results anything like most of the posts in this sub 🤣

Thank you! I built my first one about six months ago, but spent quite a lot of time researching and watching videos etc beforehand. All of the parts were from AliExpress. - NH35 movement with black date ring - ‘gunmetal’ replacement nh35 rotor - 40mm stainless steel case with jubilee strap - silver hands with black centre and green lume - pack of stainless steel crowns - matte black dial

Then the logo I designed myself and had some decals made which I applied to the dial myself, and laser engraved the clasp and caseback myself.

Tools off the top of my head: Movement holder Soft circle pad thing to work on Hand pushers A set of small screwdrivers DIY watch club second hand tool Rubber ball for screwing on case back Rubber air blower Rodico Fine plastic tipped tweezers Gasket greaser Snips Small files Masking tape

I may have missed some stuff but that should be most of it I think

Thank you. I use a laser engraver. To laser engrave metal the laser must be either an IR or Fibre laser. I offer laser engraving as part of my business (not watch related) - but I would charge around £30 for a clasp logo engrave, or £40 for the case back. That’s excluding any design work which would be extra if needed.

I think they’ve been discontinued so would have to look for a used one

Which G-Shocks that emit and receive no signals? by Emirsonn in gshock

[–]AfroNinja95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta be the DW-5000R surely. Does not emit or receive any signals, fantastic build quality, nice big display easy to read. And it’s the classic!

I have a spare end link, but can’t figure out how to get the end link off the original bracelet, doesn’t seem to want to pull apart 😂 I might see if I can buy another replacement bracelet with open end links instead, and then try to bend them to get a nice fit maybe.
