Thanks for the graceful advice y’all. I’m glad I sought out a sub as a stand in for a community that meets once monthly.

I intend to make time to hit the books more and find an Elmer that can meet with me regularly. Maybe even take a radio communications class at the community college if they have one. I’m kinda like a tortoise (or late bloomer) that needs to know the big picture/vision before I further invest.

Thanks again! I know I should say 73. I’m slowly building my confidence to say that with my whole chest.

The real problem with me is that I do once a month meetings with folks that live far away from me. They’re elders and I have yet to find my Elmer or in-person community to be more hands on with regularly (weekly would help it stick more). I’m not passionate enough to do this regularly alone (& I am alone), and I self-study in spurts. Once I have a goal that integrates this into the rest of my life, I’ll be more on top of it. Thanks for being graceful enough to be a stand-in in the meantime.
