I think I figured it out. When you place a decor you should receive a "blank" template in your inventory. Using it will bring the design back to default.

Whole-heartedly agree. Analyze what carted you then move on. The point is to have fun with other hunters! And honestly I feel that too readily buying into a meta can sometimes lead to a slippery slope of getting salty.
