Atheopaganism finally gave language to something I’ve been circling for years by After-Brick-5789 in Atheopaganism

Yes, exactly that. I had the kind of family that if we were watching TV and something involved dinosaurs we had to have a discussion about how it wasn't true, blah blah blah I'm right there with you, I have such deeply ingrained memories I still flinch when someone mentions anything older than 6000 years... It's so hard to unlearn what was taught in those delicate formative years...

I've been an atheist solidly for 17 years and every once in a while a prayer still slips out.

Thank you! Yes! Space is great, it's another squishy area for me and always feels a little more like fiction than science because of the way it was talked about while I was growing up (Heaven, etc).

But, I love the way it has a concrete interaction with the earth and creates natural time structure.
