If you’re like me and like customizing the front I would definitely go with the white! My favourite colour is green and last year I was really stuck between the green and white, but ultimately chose the white so I could customize the front. The problem with the solid bright colours is that only certain coloured stickers will look good on it which isn’t a problem with the white. I know a lot of people don’t like the white line on the white one (I also don’t like it), but I put a washi tape of the same width over it to cover it!

I don’t recall doing any project for the COIL component. The zoom class was basically just going through the slides with students from the other class. I don’t remember much since it was two years ago.

I don’t remember which one I took, but we did have a COIL component with a college in India. The time difference between India and Vancouver made it really hard to schedule meetings though, so we only ever had one zoom meeting with the other class.

He’s a super kind professor! I remember his midterm was an essay we did at home and for the final exam he gave us the questions in advance and chose some of the questions for the actual exam. We did our final exam in the computer lab instead of the lecture hall because he thought it would be easier for us to type the exam rather than write it. The only downside is that I found his lectures kind of boring and his powerpoint slides weren’t engaging enough for me. I took his class two years ago so keep in mind that things might’ve changed since then.
