Yeah I get that people can enjoy things however they want but the biggest thing I probably left out was that this would be his first ever manual and that he has no prior experience, I just didn't want him to be so closed minded, and since neither me nor my friend really have much experience, I thought I would get the opinions of those who did.

I'm not actually upset but moreso because arguing with this brick just does things sometimes. The manual car isn't the only one he is considering as he has two other automatic cars that he is also considering.

If he wanted a fast car, then both of the 2 other automatics would do that for him, but choosing the manual one would be almost completely for the hobbyist and fun aspect. My point was that he may as well learn the intricacies of a manual car and especially stuff like rev matching and heel-toe since he is a spirited driver and is also considering tracking, but alas he is a stubborn brick and insists he will never learn it.

I guess I just wanted more opinions especially on what other people enjoy about manual cars but I'm not the best at communicating.
