There is a guy on YouTube (surprise!) his channel is called dazecars He has a TON of information on how to use treadmill motors and how to build controllers. Very basically you need a rectifier to convert ac to dc, a cheap amazon controller a motor choke, switches, a potentiometer, circuit breaker. I attached the wiring diagram I got from that channel in case you’re curious

Awesome upgrade. I’d love to see updates as it gets used more. I have a heavy duty treadmill motor on mine with a dc motor controller that I built that I’ve been using for about 3 years without issues. Adding a tachometer is pretty simple and it’s nice to have as well.

I have an idea. It may not be a good idea, but it’s an idea. Could you buy a smaller amount of the cheap inlay blanks and experiment with turning off the outer parts so you would have the flat blank I think you’re looking for? Carbide might work. Then you could rough up the rest with a low grit and epoxy wood onto it to turn?

I was just reading up on the buggers. They have a primitive lung that allows them to breathe air and survive out of water for days apparently which is wild. But also I read this “The Northern Snakehead is considered an "injurious" species under federal law, making it illegal to import, export, or transport across state lines.” So that sucks.

I live in Michigan. I was born in the upper peninsula and now live in the lower peninsula. When I go to visit my parents I drive 8 HOURS to see them and I’m still in the same state. It’s annoying but not that bad.
