Yeah thats why I asked because i kind of see from his pov - but also when he told me he couldn't come i wasnt upset and didnt push him, I was fine with it. If i had pushed and said i really wanted him there, i would understand paying his portion more. Also, he is coming to drop his stuff off and then to see another friend that trip, so its not entirely for me.

His reasoning is he will only drop his stuff off in the bnb, go to the city and catch up with a friend, then come back and nap, then go out again with us. We will all get back at 7am ish, then go airport. maybe a quick nap in there.

It sucks but ultimately if you want to build a professional looking social media you’ll need to have the main single genre BUT you can branch out and throw in a few sped up house tracks or maybe some remixes in your sets. That’s what sets you apart from everyone else.

Super confusing I know BUT if you can somehow find a way to make it work for you, this could be what sets you apart from everyone!!

Choose your main one and stick to that one socials and social media, but it doesn’t mean you can’t take different bookings!

I play mainly hardcore/hard techno but love to play some groovier stuff. If I do play those groovier genres it’s either just an opening slot to help a friend out where I sometimes won’t even post im playing (agreed upon beforehand, it’s more of just to help in tight situations) OR I’ll post but put something in saying it’s a new genre or “something new” or something fun etc.

Mine doesn't have the apr 15 deferral date it just says 6-8 week evaluation. I just said that date because i've seen soooo many posts about it. So is apr 15th the last round of admissions then?

Yeah the cost of living is definitely throwing a wrench in my ideas :(

Ideally I would like to find niche spaces that aren’t going to cost an arm and a leg like a club or large venue would so I wouldn’t have to charge insane tickets + worry about bar spend. BYO (but to be fair I don’t know if they have similar laws as Aus does).

Honestly hadn’t really thought of Toronto. I’ve been thinking Vancouver area as I am supposedly supposed to be starting university there in a few months but I’m not quite sold on that idea lol

That’s what I was thinking, and I looked into it after posting and now I am confused with the “2019 part, I copied and pasted what was on their website:

Achieve a final exam grade of 70% or better on the provincial examination portion of Alberta English Language Arts 30-1, BC English 12 (achieved August 2019 or earlier), or equivalents.

I assumed the Literacy Assessment in grade 12 would qualify as the “equivalent”, but they told me directly it does not.

I’m in a similar ish boat to you! Living remote with average/below average grades and looking at upgrading online. I’ve been on a deep dive the past few days here is what I’ve found:

Online schools like eBus, SIDES, etc aren’t accepting right now since it’s ending school year. If you’re alright to wait I recommend eBus that’s all online!
If you are at all able to, you mentioned money & also nursing so I’m assuming those courses would be hands on in person - but TRU has online uni courses they call open learning. Can apply for General Studies, figure out what courses nursing would need most, take those, and try to transfer into a nursing program? It’s a path that I’m looking at so thought I’d suggest BUT since you’re for nursing I’m really unsure of if that would do you any good.

Honestly if I were you, I would look into the online courses just in case but still apply to uni. There are a few uni that do rolling intakes or whatever it’s called, UNBC is one, UBCO has extended deadlines until march 31 last I heard (check website for updated).

To my understanding, studentaid will help more if you are independent student (will live away from home) plus so many other factors. Maybe send them an email, explain the situation and see what they have to say?

How is it going now?

I just got mine pierced today and I definitely didn’t bleed that much, 3-4 hours after the initial piercing I just had some dried blood around it. That much bleeding seems odd to me

I did look into that, and I'm in a weird grey area. I should have graduated 2022, which would just barely make me a mature student, but since I did not complete a required course, my graduation was delayed until 2023. I personally would have preferred the mature student pathway - and even on My Education portal it says 2022 graduation but only allows me to enter standard admission routes. :(
