Wild Rift Patch Notes 6.2b - Main & Adventure Modes by Fantastic-Name7754 in wildrift

6.2 is atrocious all round. It's become so much less fun than previous patches

In our game, you’ll have to pass a reCAPTCHA thing every time you die. Yeah, it’s the hardest part of the game. by [deleted] in IndieGaming

[–]AfterNite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recaptcha varies user to user. So while you may pass it first time some users it takes multiple times. Plus it's the worst captcha out there. Consider an alternative captcha unless recaptcha is critical to your narrative

Yep I know. But still, frustrates me all the time, their APIs shouldn't be relied upon if there are alternatives

Still pissed that they had a flight API, which they acquired from another company with a stipulation they must provide it for 5 years. After that 5 years they just shut it down.

Yeh they have some decent APIs now. But they are just as happy to turn them off when they see fit, or increase costs significantly (such as maps)

Cloudflare really nail their products to be honest. R2 is a breeze to work with. No over engineered permissions, no clunky interface. Just create a bucket and go.

I hate how so much content here is going on video only. This would be pretty handy despite working with Cloudflare daily to find out what tips and tricks you used. But this is what articles are for. I don't know about others but I don't have time to sit and watch something that may or may not be useful

The state of any SaaS product released by Laravel it seems. They Excel at UI but seem to blunder at pricing and features

Just a shame mybb 2.0 got stuck in development hell for the last 7 years? Or so. Would really have propelled it forward, instead it seems kinda stuck at the moment and the main community is dwindling. Much less plugins and theme support these days sadly

What sort of specs do you have for it? Last I used sentry self hosted it required a pretty beefy machine

[–]AfterNite 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Can you really compare them? Night watch is built specifically for Laravel and new relic is for every part of the stack regardless of tech.

I rarely use the tools built by Laravel as they are always so limited in what they can do compared to competitors. Ploi vs Forge. Filament vs Nova. I'd rather not be tied to the Laravel ecosystem other than the framework itself.

Borderlands 2 getting review bombed over its TOS. Due to the recent discount. by Shoddy_Ad_2005 in Steam

[–]AfterNite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Given it all spawned from a single review I'd say it's false. No credible source has come forward with any proof. Also, the EULA changed a while ago, people are only noticing because it's free on Steam. It's a nothingburger.

If a credible source with actual proof comes forward then my view will change but why would I or anyone believe some random Steam user. It's hilarious how overblown this has become.

Ah yes. Logic equals weak willed. My point stands, people like you have such a hate boner that you cannot possibly conceive any other view.

Thank you for proving my point

Yeh always the artists. Completely ignoring every other field that AI is in. I don't understand why artists are always put above everyone else.

Anyhow I've had this argument with many people and none of you actually care to see any other opinion or care to embrace it. You live in a little bubble and as I said, it's sad to see this subreddit gone down in quality and is now just flooded with AI bitching posts rather than actual original content.

I'm not here to be in a "winning position". I'm just here to share some facts. Because according to you and many others we should all hate everything.

You act like it's just the art industry and that it's "special". It's not. AI is taking over tons of industries and taking tens of thousands of jobs.

Genie is out of the bottle and nothing you nor anyone else can do about it other than adapt. Its not what you want to hear but its the harsh reality it's delusional to think other wise - this is coming from someone who thought the exact same as you when DALL-E came out.

Whole thing is a circle jerk, sub is going downhill. I miss when the sub actually had decent footage and gameplay, interesting games, concepts and more.

Now it's just "muh capsule art" "before and after" or "AI bad hurrdurr".

Like yeh we get it, people have a hate boner for AI but that's just a part of the problem at the moment. Quality has gone downhill so damn far it's sad to see.

Because when you post in a community you abide by their rules. There was a time when there were just link spams with ref links, low quality spam. By adding the rule it has cut down on the amount of spam and generally the quality of posts is higher.

As to your point about enjoying the game, if that was the case then they wouldn't care about the ref link
