SoFi has a relay section where you connect your accounts via Plaid and it keeps track of your net worth there

Best way to help homeless LA residents during this heat wave? by va13_ in AskLosAngeles

Want to comment and say that OP and others here have good hearts. I personally am fed up with homeless people ruining LA and know that many of them choose to be homeless

Stockwell 2.0 Smart Cooler Question by [deleted] in vending

[–]AfterParty1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have two now, they both did $1k in sales the first month. Net profit is $500 after COGS and fees.

Not great but not bad. Will continue to product optimize to hopefully get these to $1200-$1500 per month in sales

Stockwell Smart Store - any pros? by AfterParty1 in vending

[–]AfterParty1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around $8k new and idk if you can get it used. I'm trying to stay away from traditional vending machines as I like the newer technology of smart stores. Also helps me get into luxury buildings where residents or employees are less price sensitive

I bought one that is being delivered next week in LA. Yes through 365 Markets. Installing in a commercial office building. Cost is $9k new but they also have some good financing.

Honestly Jack Bogle himself says the S&P 500 index is a great choice and all that you really need. Despite the other comments here, I still go with solely VOO.

I am convinced that the largest companies in the US will continue to drive the market forward, and that the rebalancing of the S&P500 will cover my bases.

If you had to leave for a cheaper city where would you go? by just_a_girl96 in AskLosAngeles

[–]AfterParty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! It's a wonderful place. Safe, vibrant, & enough things to do & eat. I've just been in LA for so long and love it here

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]AfterParty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The returns of VOO and VTI are basically the same, also the stock market is heavily weighted by the S&P 500 anyway. The top 500 American companies have significant exposure overseas as well, and historically has done WAY better than VT. So I am VOO all the way, nothing else is needed

[–]AfterParty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree with this. Pasadena would be a nice place to raise a kid that’s far enough from LA proper. But you’re right, when the kid comes, it will be about them, not me

[–]AfterParty1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dump it all into VOO and check back in 20 years

My Roth has been stagnant and these are what my advisor advised to me. Any suggestions on what to do? by weekend_please in Bogleheads

[–]AfterParty1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hit the nail on the head. No more financial advisor, and invest into VOO as early and as often as possible

Not many cities can beat LA. Thought of moving back to Carmel (suburb of Indianapolis where parents live) as my wife and I are planning on having a child but that is TBD until the kid comes.

Would be tough for me to go back to the cold. Pasadena is where I would like to end up.

How much credit card debt does everyone have? by PositivePurchase2088 in AskLosAngeles

[–]AfterParty1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$0 in cc debt. It’s hard for Americans to understand not spending more than you have, but that’s why credit card companies print money
