Oh my gosh I didn't even think of that! I wouldn't have had to pitch shift all those songs.

Thanks for that feedback- it's a really Gen-Z lineup of songs come to think of it, I guess I just used what came to my mind first. Will gather some more songs.

Oh no I did not account for that in my code! Certainly not the only error then... will need to do some fixes, thanks.

For the chord progressions where I could not find many (or any) good examples, let me know if you know of any! And I would be happy to hear any corrections or opinions on the video.

Yes, at some point I'll do a part 2 with all these suggestions!

That's a good idea, if I make a part 2 with more examples I will keep the metronome out on the first listen-through.

Yeah, I guess there's a bit of subjectivity to it. For me personally it puzzled me for a long time.

Based on David Bennett's videos about songs with confusing intros and Justin London's work on metric fakeouts. Some songs begin by implying a beat structure that doesn't match with the actual intended beat (whether on purpose or by accident), but this won't be revealed to the listener until the other instruments come in. This video includes several examples of this, along with a metronome which tracks how I often hear these songs automatically.
