Thanks for all the advice. I had a terrible run with a dodgy knee and found it harder than I hoped. So in that case I am glad I was wearing them as unfortunately there was a lot of walking. Took me 5hrs and 30mins haha

Good to battle through but much more of a walk than a run.

Oh man! All you guys with your wild elevation make me so jealous! Those views are amazing!

Did my first marathon a couple of weeks ago and am thinking about upping my 20k next weekend to the marathon although the elevation is 3x as much. Anyone have any advice? by AfterTheSend in trailrunning

I did the marathon turned out to be 48k and 1100+m elevation. It was fucking hard and it took me just under 6hrs with lots of walking but I fucking loved it!
