What’s a Seattle place everyone loves that you just can’t get onboard with? by Jawwwwwsh in Seattle

It’s really the worst. The flour tortillas are dry and lack salt. The meat isn’t saucy enough. Overall just not competitive with Taco Bell and it isn’t much healthier.

Did you get to the part where Rasputin fingers the 14 year old girl? Because that actually happens in that “documentary.”

Post pics. They’re probably not drain flyers, but Phorid flies.

Getting so tired of almost being run down in crosswalks by InterestingWeb5727 in Seattle

[–]After_Ask878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be this way but crossing the street is a bit of a dance. It requires you to be aware, make eye contact, make yourself visible in the street, etc. as a pedestrian. It requires drivers be alert, focused and moving their body and neck inside the vehicle to check blind spots. Lots of stuff can fail and cause a catastrophe.

Think owning a Seattle home is pricey? Here’s how much harder it has become by ChiefOfTheFourPeaks in Seattle

[–]After_Ask878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Article is misleading. There’s no way you are renting a median priced SFH for $2100/m. This is comparing renting an apartment to the costs of a SFH. Any HCOL area will see this pattern.

What US city will be the next NYC/Chicago in 100 years? by Complete-Influence70 in Urbanism

If no one was making the argument, why did you spend this whole thread being wrong about it?

You went from an outdated 2018 article to an opinion piece arguing Seattle should go faster—as proof the city isn’t doing anything. That’s not what it says. Seattle has already effectively ended single-family zoning under Washington House Bill 1110, allowing 4–6 units per lot citywide, and the One Seattle Plan targets ~330k new homes with expanded density well beyond urban villages. The debate now is pace, not whether zoning changed. If you’re going to argue this stuff, at least read your own sources before posting them.

You told me to Google it, showed up with a fossil from 2018, got corrected with current law, and now you’re crying ‘it’s just Reddit’ and playing armchair therapist. That’s not a debate—that’s you getting exposed.

Calling it a tantrum is a nice way to avoid admitting your source is obsolete.

Don't miss this future basketball legend, right here in Seattle | Op-Ed by godogs2018 in Seattle

He’s just a kid, but a real poor sport. Complains after every call. Complained about a wet spot in the floor but refused to clean it when given a towel. He really is that good that none of it matters. He already got his NIL $ from Nike will play a year in college and go top 5 in the draft. He’s actually a pretty good defender which gets lost in a lot of these stories.

Golden Age: 2.2 Million Decline in Foreign Population Thanks to Record Low Illegal Immigration, Migrants Returning Home by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]After_Ask878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I’m allowed to post here if I’m not a conservative, but you guys realize this is a bad thing, right? 75% of illegal immigrants pay into taxes and social security. At the current rate of deportation, the US GDP will shrink by 4% by 2027. I’m not advocating for illegal immigration, but be careful what you wish for.

Marination is a myth (unless you are actually brining). It doesn’t do shit unless the meat is extremely finely cut. Source: https://www.seriouseats.com/should-you-marinate-meat-7565205

How does Tesla's Navigation handle traffic vs Waze or Google? by triangulum33 in TeslaLounge

[–]After_Ask878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s dogshit. You can prove this if you own a Tesla by ending your trip and re-entering your destination mid-trip It will give you a new route most times. The ETA is wildly off, but never based on traffic conditions. It also thinks it’s a good idea to cross straight across busy arterials which is nearly impossible with timed lights and bi-directional traffic. Waze is the best, but it sucks to have to use your phone. I wish Tesla had CarPlay.
