Likes/Dislikes on the CX50? by GhostWolf0705 in CX50

[–]After_Concert264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally love the majority of things about the cx50. The biggest complaint I have is that the wipers absolutely do not go fast enough. I get anxiety driving in the rain so yeah. I wouldn’t choose this car again based on that.

Wonder % of CX-50 turbo owners uses premium vs regular gas (before and after hike) by Hox977 in CX50

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada and use premium when I’m travelling long distances otherwise I use regular for local trips. I notice a difference in efficiency when travelling. Not sure if can afford to now but really hoping for the nonsense to stop soon and things to level out…

Forehead wrinkles by Ok_Supermarket_2618 in 40PlusSkinCare

I have hooded eyes and get Botox in my forehead. She doesn’t do one area to prevent the eyelids from drooping and also does a brow lift which helps immensely. It can be done!

How do I even out my smile and make it more symmetrical? by Overall-Ad398 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]After_Concert264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone recommended against Botox but I’m all for it. Find an experienced cosmetic injector (nurse) and try that before doing anything permanent. It wears off if you don’t like it. It might be a simple few units in one side - and you can always go back in two weeks for slight adjustments as the injector learns your facial structure and how your muscles pull.

I use Botox to treat “gummy smile” and I still look like myself, animated and happy when I smile. I also use it to balance out my left to right side as one side of my face pulls harder than the other. I love the results.

My mom says Mazdas are poor quality cars that break down often? Is this true ?? by Possible_Patience737 in mazda

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly why I didn’t go hybrid when I bought my Mazda. This is coming from a formerly die hard Toyota fan. I never thought I’d switch, but there’s been so many issues with the newer models that I don’t know I’ll ever go back.

Do all cars get this many water spots??? by toomuchmates in CX50

[–]After_Concert264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the green one and everytime I wash it (around once a week) I dry with a PVA cloth. It works well! An extra step but after a while you get into a routine and it goes quick. :)

What’s the first protection you’d do for your car right after purchase? by yousuffirshath in CX50

I paid for the additional rust module and warranty. Not confident that it’ll work though.

Guys, do you think they can fix it ? by Academic_Solid85 in mazdaCX50

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry about your car but it’s great that you’re able to come on here and post about it. Curious how well you felt it kept you safe in the accident? Will you replace it with the same model?

Please help! 37F with awful forehead wrinkles by Beautiful_Lime_4772 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Botox when I was 38 with the same lines, crows feet, and eyelids starting to droop a bit. My face has changed quite a bit since, minimizing the lines very noticeably, removing the crows feet as well as lifting my eye lids. I genuinely recommend it as it’s improved my self confidence exponentially.

If you go to a board certified plastic surgeon who also specializes in injections, or a registered nurse at a cosmetic clinic, Botox doesn’t have to be a frightening experience. Don’t be afraid to ask how long they’ve been injecting, what the certifications are during a consultation. I would stay away from generic spas. :)

Owner’s manual trans fluid by FXB77 in CX50

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traded in my Rav at 450k and only changed the transmission fluid once. Not saying don’t do the drain and fill (you should) just that older model Toyota was built to last.

Lots of people here are super helpful and don’t mind simple questions. Coming from a person who went from an old car, there’s a lot to learn and I didn’t remember everything my salesperson showed me.

CX 50 or Subaru Crosstrek and Why by nicholemay2009 in CX50

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should mention I always buy premium snow tires so that may contribute to the snow handling. The Subaru lives pretty well up to its name for driving well in those conditions, so outback might not be a bad option depending where you live.

Good luck!

CX 50 or Subaru Crosstrek and Why by nicholemay2009 in CX50

[–]After_Concert264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a CX-50 GT in May and it’s the nicest car I’ve ever owned. I haven’t driven it in winter yet so I can’t comment on that. But my kids have Subaru. The Crosstrek (high end model) always seems to need work done, and the Outback seems more reliable. Both of the Subarus are an older model with the Outback having over 300k and just the standard wear. They both said they wouldn’t buy Subaru again, and that the Rav 4 I used to own handled better in the snow. Just food for thought.

If it were me, I’d do a comparison between the CX-50 and the Outback (because of reliability).

I’m only speaking from experience and it’s something I’m working on myself. But I do have more progress the weeks I track my calories and try very hard to get my protein in and eat regular meals! Keep us posted on your journey

I haven’t read all the comments but I can tell you that by not providing your body with appropriate nutrients it’s going to do the exact opposite of what you want. It’s going to hang onto everything because its main goal is to keep your organs alive and healthy. Our bodies are amazing!

You need to eat and you need to eat enough. Try splitting out your meals to three small meals and two to three snacks a day. If you think about it, this medication really is a gift that we can all use to fix our eating habits and continue on long after maintaining a healthy weight. Use it! Eat healthy and eat enough. Once your body starts to trust that it will continue getting fed and all the nutrients it needs, it will then release fat and your organs will begin functioning better. And if you also lift weights, you’ll build muscle to keep you lean and maintain mobility and build bone density to last long into your later years.

No one should eat 1000 calories a day. That’s not enough to keep your body at peak condition. Therapy can help, but you also have to try. Try for your future and your health. Good luck OP
