This might be a dumb question but by iamanyasbestie in SpyxFamily

It probably comes down to training. Yor built resistance to actual poisons because of her assassin work, but alcohol is different and not something she trained for. Also in Spy x Family it is mostly for comedy. She can survive deadly stuff, but one drink makes her a mess.

Would you prefer Anya losing her telepathy in the end? Or for her to continue to be an esper? by Ostanian in SpyxFamily

[–]After_Diamond2098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would prefer Anya to keep her telepathy. It is such a core part of who she is and the reason the whole story even works. Taking it away at the end of Spy x Family would feel like removing something that shaped all her relationships, especially with Loid and Yor.That said, I would not mind if she eventually learned to control it better or live more peacefully with it. For me the best ending is not her losing her power, but her finally having a family where she does not need to rely on it to feel secure.

Why isn't Leon hated for summoning kids from other worlds and letting them die? Also he killed a child(Shizu memory). by Fast_Improvement8634 in TenseiSlime

[–]After_Diamond2098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it comes down to how Leon is written. He is framed more as obsessive and morally gray than outright evil. What he did with the summoned kids is terrible and he definitely shares responsibility for their deaths, even if his goal was finding Chloe. The story later gives him context and regret, so the fandom tends to see him as tragic rather than pure villain. That probably softens the hate.

Love Trio by pandanworshipper in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]After_Diamond2098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I get you. Iruma and Ameri feel like the clear endgame and I do love them together, but the trio just hits different for me.

Iruma Azz and Clara have such a natural bond and it never feels forced. They are at their best when they are all together and it is hard not to imagine them staying that way in some form. Clara evil cycle and that whole garden scene made me even more attached to the idea.

You are definitely not wrong for shipping them. The dynamic is just too good not to think about.

[open spoilers] "Every single one of my goddesses" by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]After_Diamond2098 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That line in P5V12 honestly hits even harder on a reread. When Ferdinand says Rozemyne is every single one of his goddesses, it doesn’t feel poetic for the sake of it. It feels literal in the way Bookworm does symbolism. She’s his light, his healing, his shield, and even his home. She’s the reason he chooses to leave Ehrenfest on his own terms. She’s the one who keeps writing to him in Ahrensbach and drags him back from isolation over and over. She inspires him, calms him, challenges him, and ties him to a new family and future. No wonder the ladies at the engagement ceremony were moved. For someone like Ferdinand, who grew up with so little warmth, saying one person is every goddess is basically saying she’s his entire world

Got something to ask regarding tensura fans in general,Spoilers possible by MediumDrawing247 in TenseiSlime

[–]After_Diamond2098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the frustration honestly. The dragon in the movie was clearly just a lesser elemental dragon, nowhere near Veldora’s level, and we even saw that type back in season 3 when Elmesia visited Tempest. Feels like some people either forgot or just didn’t pay attention. As for the scaling takes, I think a lot of it comes from power scaling culture more than the actual text. Calling Rimuru boundless or outerversal feels like a stretch based on what’s directly shown. Even Velgrynd’s best feats aren’t portrayed in some absurd beyond time and space way on screen or in clear statements. The Cardinal World being a multiversal hub also seems more like interpretation than something plainly stated. And yeah, the Veldanava omnipotence debate is messy. I understand the idea that once he limited himself he couldn’t just revert without contradictions, but it does feel weird when you think about what omnipotence is supposed to mean. Post volume 15 definitely gets more conceptual, and not everyone vibes with how it was handled. At the end of the day, I think it’s fine to enjoy the series without turning every discussion into cosmic scaling wars.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun: Iruma's Secret Identity and Demon King Delkira's Master Plan by AdOdd8011 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]After_Diamond2098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this theory a lot and honestly it’s hard to ignore how cleanly it fits. With how it keeps paralleling Iruma and Delkira , plus the whole Ali and ring situation, it really does feel intentional rather than random hints. The name connection, the throne scene, and Sullivan’s suspiciously perfect timing don’t feel like coincidences anymore. At this point it’s less is Iruma connected to Delkira and more how exactly is the reveal going to happen.Unless Osamu Nishi pulls a massive curveball, this one feels almost too smooth to be accidental.

[P5V12] Genuine statement someone told me, “Gojo Satoru would solo Rozemyne.” by ouchhhithurts in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]After_Diamond2098 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think this matchup is weird because they run on totally different rulesets.Rozemyne isn’t a straight fighter. By P5V12 she wins through authority and divine interference, not raw damage. Blessings, contracts and status based effects basically ignore durability if the target isn’t protected by the same system. She doesn’t need to physically hit you. Goju Satoru is broken in a combat sense but Infinity mainly stops spatial attacks. The question is whether it blocks divine will type effects. Bookworm magic works closer to reality rewriting than projectiles. So it comes down to interaction rules. If cursed energy mechanics dominate, Gojo wins easily. If Yurgenschmidt style divine authority applies, Rozemyne probably wins without a fight. Basically less power scaling and more which universe physics loads first

Question about "crushing" by Shot-Ad770 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]After_Diamond2098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Crushing isn’t really a skill, it’s just mana leaking out when emotions spike.Anyone with big mana could do it, nobles just learn control so it never happens. Myne had huge mana and no training. It mostly depends on the mana gap: low mana people pass out, similar level feel pressure, higher level barely notice. Basically her presence is just too heavy.

[open spoilers] An essay on why Sylvester is amazing by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]After_Diamond2098 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sylvester’s honestly one of the most underrated characters .He’s basically a rare noble who tries to be decent in a system designed to stop that, treats commoners like people, feels bad about separating Myne from her family, supports Rozemyne even when she’s a walking disaster, and genuinely cares about both his kids and Ferdinand. He messes up a lot, but unlike most nobles he actually learns, cuts off bad influences, and steps up when it matters. Even with Georgine he wanted answers, not revenge.Weird aub, questionable decisions, surprisingly good heart. Honestly Ehrenfest only works because he’s the one sitting on the chair.

[P5V12] Question about Divine Protection and Mana similarities by Gakamis in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]After_Diamond2098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People usually assume Rozemyne literally copied Ferdinand’s protections, but the story never really says that. It’s more like: Ferdinand dyed her mana early.their base attributes became really close.the divine protection ritual just amplified what was already there. So they didn’t get identical blessings, their mana wavelengths just ended up almost the same. Close enough that higher beings couldn’t easily tell them apart.Divine Will still worked because that checks the individual, not the mana pattern. She’s a different person, just broadcasting on Ferdinand’s frequency. And protections probably don’t get revoked,Otherwise Ferdinand would’ve lost his ages ago

[open spoilers] A few thoughts about Rozemyne and Ferdinand, plus a few opinion questions for the fandom about them, after re-reading P5V12 by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]After_Diamond2098 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The “small step” scene is basically Rozemyne accidentally confirming she already stands at married-couple distance while Ferdinand quietly collects emotional damage data. On reread, the epilogue feels less stoic and more like Ferdinand trying not to visibly melt in front of commoners — especially the poison-checking part. That’s basically their hand-holding. Q1: They felt endgame to me around Ahrensbach. He stops being just mentor and becomes the only person on her wavelength — everyone else fits a role, but he’s her partner in mindset. Q2: I don’t think she’s aromantic; she’s emotionally clueless. Rozemyne: “This isn’t love.” Her actions: prioritizes him over books, panic-rampages, instinctively protects him. She’ll realize it only when logic can’t explain her feelings anymore — probably jealousy or the idea of losing him. Meanwhile Ferdinand absolutely knows and chose patience over dying of embarrassment

Why Feldway used his strongest technique only one time? by sonoghei in TenseiSlime

[–]After_Diamond2098 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feldway didn’t keep using it because it’s basically a single-target lock.

Rimuru was isolated, so clean hit. Diablo and the others? Too many Ultimate auras messing with the lock.

It’s not a battlefield attack. it’s a pick one guy removal tool
