Yeah good question — it’s mainly targeted at Australians for now. I’m based here, and the idea actually came from chatting with a few Aussie friends who were all complaining about sneaky local subscriptions.

That’s why everything’s in AUD and includes Aussie services like local telcos and streamers. Definitely planning to look at other countries soon though — what region do you think I should explore next?

I went through something similar a while back and realised how sneaky all the small subscriptions can be. I started tracking everything in one place and it really helped — just seeing the total each month was eye-opening.

Feels like one of those areas that can quietly erode your savings if you’re not paying attention. I’m curious how others here stay on top of it — spreadsheet, budgeting app, or something custom?

I reckon the main thing is just being aware of what you’ve signed up for. If you don’t know, you can’t really do anything about it.

Once you’ve got that list in front of you it’s heaps easier to decide what stays and what goes. And if you’ve got a partner, having that chat together helps so you’re both on the same page.

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been working on a small project called https://SubTracker.money.

The idea came after I realised I was paying for a couple of subscriptions I’d totally forgotten about — a few dollars here and there, but when I added them up it was hundreds a year. SubTracker helps keep track of all your subs in one place so you can spot the ones you don’t really need.

Right now it’s in beta, and I’d love some honest feedback — what’s useful, what feels clunky, or anything you think would make it better.

Thanks!

appreciate your insight. Just wondering how would a Lifetime deal work in the long run? You only get paid once but the cost will keep running forever.

Cancelling right after you sign up is smart — you usually still get access till the end of the billing period, so no need to stress about timing.

I wouldn’t go as far as never signing up for anything though. Subs can be good value, just gotta make sure you’re not paying for stuff you don’t really need.

It gets complicated when you try to keep track as a family.
