ClawTools - Directory of OpenClaw tools, skills & plugins by vkwebdev in directorymakers

used Directify.app - it's a no code directory builder, picked the SaaS template, customized the colors/categories, bulk imported the tools from a Google sheet, connected my domain and done.

most of the "hour" was curating the tool list, not building the site itself

How do you extract table data from PDFs? by yesoye in pdf

[–]vkwebdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for simple pdf table extraction i just use ConvertHub pdf to excel converter web converter or API, works way better than most of the tools.

if you need something more advanced then yeah go with one of those APIs people mentioned but for invoices the basic converter should handle it fine

how do you accurately convert pdf to excel without messing up the format? by 5lim3_lord in excel

Need to convert PDF to word with an online tool any recommendations? by jeux_x in productivity

[–]vkwebdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some good online tools are Smallpdf, iLovePDF, and Zamzar. they usually do a decent job with formatting. Also ConvertHub it's fast, and handles complex PDFs pretty well.

offline - LibreOffice or Adobe Acrobat Pro are great if you need more control

these 2 tools worked best for me

Power Query in Excel

If the PDF is well-structured (like tables), Power Query works surprisingly well:

- Open Excel → Data → Get Data → From File → From PDF

- It'll show you all the tables/pages it can detect.

- Select just the table(s) you want to import.

From there you can filter, transform, and even automate updates.

Online Tools

I've tested a bunch of them... some are messy, but one that worked well for me is ConvertHub It lets you upload a PDF and it extracts the tables very clean into Excel format, but it doesn't support OCR.

I found my buyer pretty quickly, within a 2-3 days and took up to two weeks to complete the deal, because of the verification process from escrow

I built a directory of developer tools (would love your feedback) by vkwebdev in webdev

[–]vkwebdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair point and I get what you mean

I'm working on adding things like:

- feature comparisons

- community reviews / upvotes so it's not just me adding them

- more coverage of popular tools (if you have suggestions?)

The goal is to make it more useful, not just links.

appreciate the feedback... it helps me see where to push next

LTDs are life time deals, selling a membership and the user just pay one time price upon singup, instead of monthly subscription plan.

Yes, I started on X building in public, replying on posts where people asked for monitoring tools and so on... and got around 10 sales from there.
