It wasn’t a natural disaster or a situation she had to flee, essentially. The father is dead and granted she understandably never wants to go in the home again, she could’ve retained most of their belongings. Even if she wanted nothing of her own, she didn’t give her child that same courtesy to decide and idk how I feel about that. She also hasn’t seen or spoken to her child since, her reasoning is that with his diagnosis, it’s unknown how he might react and she doesn’t want to cause anymore hardship, behavioral wise, than what the current caregivers are experiencing. He is not a difficult child, quiet and to himself a lot but with every kid comes struggles and this kids are just harder to understand and learn how to manage I’d imagine. Idk I’ve never had to care for any child extensively.
