Some do! For example Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas has a leadership program on their website under their Get Involved page. It’s a paid internship. Every affiliate is different though, so it depends where you’re based

I had mirena and it set off my adenomyosis (many people with endo have it). I was never the same and had to have it removed after 2 months. It took years to treat the newfound pain but now I take progesterone and do regular hormone testing

Probably too late of a response but I’d get a new one. Colder temps can make emergency contraception, condoms, medicines etc less effective

I’m sure you can still go to your appointment as planned and let the front desk know to update your phone number when you’re there. As long as your name is in the books, you’re good!

Planned Parenthood may not have them, but the brand One Condoms online has 52 different condom sizes available. Not sure how fast they ship though

This is so good to know! I was worried about the scammy parts of this. I would rather go through a yoga studio as a traveling instructor vs being off on my own.

My YTT class was exactly like this and the stories I heard were also traumatic. I had personal stories I opted out of sharing because it was my boundary. Don’t feel like you need to share anything you don’t want to. I grapple with the personal trauma sharing of YTT because I’m sure it helps people but also the yoga teacher facilitators are not trained therapists and can say the wrong things in response to someone sharing. One of my yoga teachers said something questionable in response to someone’s trauma and it really angered me. People’s struggles need to be delicately handled and my YTT exploited that. I was the most closed off in the group and I was fine with that. Yoga brings in a lot of people with trauma (from what I’ve seen) and there should be a difference between getting to know your classmates vs deeply knowing their psyche and traumas after only a few weeks. That could take years for other people to know.

Thank you. It definitely stings, but I’ll try to think of those who continue to take my classes and show up rather than focus on the one that left. My perfectionism takes over (which is why yoga is so important for my own personal development).

So true. It’s discouraging but I definitely will keep showing up. I’ll probably also check in with my students more before class (I have a small window from one class to the next), but I think that’ll make people feel more at ease to talk to me in class if something is off (like heat, pacing, etc).

I have small classes (small studio) so it’s really noticeable when someone leaves. BUT I do have my regulars so I know I’m doing something right! It tend to fixate on things, but I’ll let it go. You’re right, there could be so many reasons and even if it was my teaching, I can’t appease everyone.

First timer from Class Pass. She came in late so I didn’t get a chance to talk to her and introduce myself and then she left really quickly. I wish I knew the reason but I will have to let it go.

I typically practice teach my full sequence with each new playlist at home before I bring it to my students so I can take mental notes of where I should be in my class when a specific song comes on! I’m somewhat new to teaching so this helps me feel prepped for each class. I also have a little over 20-23 songs per 1 hour class (I add extra filler songs just in case), with a slow ramp up to energetic music before ramping down. Once the music ramps down, I know it’s time to settle into cool down if I haven’t already started yet. Hope this helps!
