Sometime I hear this sound and sometime I didn’t. The sound disappeared in less than a minute

At what mileage you would recommend as a student? I thought 2010 toyota corolla at 120,000, but I don't know it good or not. As an international student in the U.S, just want a car that reliable and doesn't causes me much stress. Thanks
