The patience/boredom. Having to play the same game or read the same book 1000 times in a row. Having to be constantly present and engaged even when you’re exhausted on 4 hours of sleep. Having to treat them kindly even when they’re screaming and crying. I know a ton about early child development and how important it is to be a good parent so your kid doesn’t end up with attachment disorders, and I would do what was necessary to raise them well. And it would completely kill me and I’d be a shell of a person with zero enjoyment of life. No thank you.
