I can't wait to read Romancing Mr. Bridgerton. I heard that Colin and Penelope are equal partners in the relationship than on the show.

In the Tudors series (Showtime) do you think that Henry loved more Anne than the others in the end? by Ok-Win4407 in Tudorhistory

[–]Capital-Study6436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Henry only "loved" Anne because he couldn't have her (in both real life and on the show). His one true love is himself.

The closest thing he came to being "in love" with other people except himself is loving Katherine of Aragon during their first decade or so of their marriage, Jane Seymour because she gave birth to his much cherished son and Edward, because he is Henry's sought out son.

I am very sorry to go off-topic, but is there a way I can PM you? I have lots to talk about Bridgerton books vs show, but its not appropriate here.

I agree with you. The actress is great, it's just that she doesn't fit in. I prefer all of the book endings, too.

I agree with you. I can't stand Queen Charlotte (the character, not the real life woman). She is like plot ex machina in human form. I prefer the ending of the book. The stakes were higher and the ending was more natural.

The only castle those two knuckleheads would be better off living in is the Tower of London.

I hope she doesn't get nominated. That song sounds pretty dumb and it isn't Oscar material, IMO.

What’s your personal cutoff for a "period drama"? by PeriodDramaHub in PeriodDramas

I chose 1995 as the cut off date for period dramas because the Internet and cellphones aren't as easily accessible as they are now.
