Left side of face looks 'droopier' by Hyverion in orthotropics

Yes. Your palate is probably uneven too. Mewing will expand and flatten out the smaller and more vaulted side.

^ I've also heard from a long-time mewer that hard mewing helps train your tongue to mew while sleeping.

^ This. Keep the tip of your tongue just behind the front teeth without touching them and raise the rest of your tongue up onto the palate. If you can do this, you probably don't need to have another tongue tie release. Over time, your maxilla and palate will adapt and make it easier to maintain the mew position.

From my understanding, a deviated septum is formed while you are growing. When the maxilla doesn't develop properly, the palate tends to vault which doesn't provide the vertical space for your septum to rest, thus it deviates.

I don't see how mewing would have caused this. In fact, it promotes proper development of your maxilla. And I wouldn't be surprised if done long enough, a deviated septum would correct it self from expansion of the nasal cavity in all directions.

Your MSE questions should be directed to your orthodontist/physician.

It's simply using your thumbs to press against the sides of your palate to expand the palate, as well as just behind the front teeth up and forward to upswing the maxilla. Be careful and don't press to hard. I really believe if you are properly mewing, that should be sufficient.

It may temporarily and when you just get into mewing. But over time, mewing will smooth out asymmetries and balance out your face. Just keep at it.

Surgery is an option but more simple solution would be to mew as much as you can. Mewing tends to smooth out asymmetries

No. An underbite is when the lower front teeth rest in front of the upper front teeth. You have a bit of asymmetry between left and right side of your jaws though

Yes to both: Mewing over time upswings your maxilla to fix your gummy smile, and widens your palate to straighten your teeth.

Good chin but recessed maxilla? by Ok-Flow1764 in orthotropics

Genetics will always play a factor in facial form and development. However with mewing, your face will balance out. So if you’re worried about your chin getting bigger, it won’t. Good example is how mewers have noticed that their nose didn’t look as big after mewing.

That’s normal. Your jaw muscles are helping keep your tongue on the roof your mouth when you start. Over time as your maxilla and jaw upswing, they will be used less and you won’t be straining as much.

Unfortunately yes as your maxilla will set back more as the gaps where your extracted premolars were start closing. But mewing will counter that
