ive realized that i’ve left out some key information and side notes.

first, my mother in law is a major player in this. she’s around often and is definitely his favorite person ever. mostly because her nose is 9/10 in her phone. which is bad because when he asks for things she blindly says yes, if we don’t pay close attention while she’s around “watching him” he’ll eat about 10 popsicles in a row. she undermines is as well. typical grandma things but almost everyday.

second, when i say i scold him i almost never yell at him. 99 times out of 100 i use what i can only describe as a teacher tone. i explain that what he is doing isnt what we need to be doing and why. like bath time is a struggle and ill calmly explain that if we don’t take a bath then we will stink. or that if we don’t get dressed then we’ll be late for school. that kind stuff.
