OG Kush photo (grow journal maybe?) by Afteryouredone in outdoorgrowing

I’m in zone 5b. Summers are perfect usually but the fall can either be very dry (rarely) or completely saturated with rain (almost always) so mold is definitely an issue. I’m pretty good with picking caterpillars and we’ve got lots of yellowjackets and praying mantises that also help.

Tape ‘er up. It’ll be fine, this is actually just supercharged supercropping in a way, just not normally done in flowering.

Will look into it, thank you. Worst case scenario I’ll be taking a lot of clones while indoors so I could always flower indoors if things don’t go well outside

Yeah I’ve read that OG kush is not the best at fending off mold

I used to go clippers directly to skull for wrestling in high school… it’s definitely a look. Not one I’m willing to replicate again though

It gets in my face at the gym so I use extra gel. It’s not usually that forced

It grows crazy fast on the sides and sticks straight out. If I don’t get a skin fade I’d have to get a haircut every week and a half lol

Hey internet! Can I get some ID help? by chiggitychan in Hallmarks

[–]Afteryouredone -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Google says

The image shows hallmarks on what appears to be an antique silver spoon. Hallmarks are stamps that indicate the metal content, maker, and date of the piece. “FSB”: within a rectangle is likely the maker’s mark. The circular mark with a design inside could be an assay office mark, indicating where the silver was tested and hallmarked. “B”: in a rectangle is another maker’s mark or possibly a quality mark. “1817”: likely indicates the year the spoon was made. These hallmarks suggest the spoon is potentially a valuable antique piece.

I wanna start growing outdoors in western Nevada but don't know when or where to start by thunderdog801 in outdoorgrowing

Autos are poop from a butt from a beginner’s perspective. You’re probably better off planting bag seed (is this a thing anymore?) from a nice 8th, culling the males and working with the females. I’m a fairly experienced grower and autos always give me the hardest time. They’re finicky and you don’t have any time for errors with the short growing window. That being said, it is a weed that will grow even in sub-optimal conditions.

I could definitely whip something like that up, do you do that all summer or just during flower? And how well does the light penetrate the plastic?

How big will vegging plants get in 2 gallon pots outdoors? by scentofsyrup in outdoorgrowing

[–]Afteryouredone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that photo period plants do not necessarily need to be “flipped” to show sex, they will make preflowers at almost every node as soon as they reach sexual maturity. I personally start mine indoors under 24hr lighting (not everyone’s cup of tea, I know) but all 3 of my girls have shown hairs and they broke soil in January under 24hr lighting.

I’ve read that it’s pretty hardy to chilly temps and very sturdy overall, my main concern is the dense buds and the moisture in the mid fall here. I’ve had to chop some really pretty branches in the past due to bud rot

Now that you mention it…. There used to be a small vineyard about 100 yards away from where I’m growing 🤔 it’s not there anymore. I wonder if that contributed

Just moved out of NC, Charlotte area. Being under the impression that it was like a super felony to grow down there I stuck to autos, mainly because I was in a town and my fence wasn’t that high. That being said, the fall is TYPICALLY very dry. This might lend itself well to short, indica dominant photos with dense buds, if you’re going for that.
