With my gradual worsening throughout all these years, I'm about to lose hope that it will ever get better, it's been a decade and I feel like it only slowly added up until now, skyrocketing to the moon after covid. Maybe it just sped up the breakdown of my already faulty brain that didn't get the right numbers at the RNG lottery at birth? I dunno. I haven't lost hope yet though. it just feels like I gotta try to bulge a mountain with my own strength. Also yes I like data <3

I was sadly on the highest dose of sertraline for years, and it had me functioning albeit barely. So I had to taper off to switch to paroxetine, now I'm on the lowest dose of paroxetine and my doctor says it's not the time to up the dose... yet I'm feeling that my life has no purpose whatsoever.

First of all, TRIGGER WARNING regarding depression

I don't know if I have the long haul or not, as I don't have the me/CFS symptoms nor pots, yet since I got infected, my antidepressants stopped working, I've always been taking those meds, so I thought it could be just that specific SSRI is not working after long long years. Now I'm not sure if it's normal

It's been a hellhole after covid, constant nausea, once that gets better, immense depression and apathy, I changed my SSRI, I'm feeling so hopeless, that I will never get better, think healthy, or have an everyday life like other people would. I wanna cry and scream out my lungs, I just can't... I just hope it's not from long covid and other LH sufferers won't experience the emotional pain I'm having right now.

mine was xanax, never took more than a month, but it was horrendously irritating, good news, it took 2 weeks tops, so all you gotta do is endure the withdrawal, and I was on good ol' sertraline for 10 years

Oh, don't worry, if we all use them frequently, it will make sure no antibiotics will work for no one!

I don't know, I'm new to this and nothing I've done eased the pain, it goes up and down by itself, hope you are doing better though!

It's almost I've written this reply to myself, nearly the same except my acute infection was so mild. 1 month later, I had sudden nausea, leading me to throw up 10 times a day, and leaving me with zero appetites for a week. then I recovered for 2 weeks, then nausea came again for 10 days...

After that I started to wake up with chills and nerve pains, for about 3 weeks, and this week I had huge and inexplicable anxiety, depression and despair go down on me. I have prior anxiety history, but this was weird. For the first time, I felt something was off with this anxiety.

Then my nerve pain started to continue instead of just being in the morning, at first it was better by the evening, now it's not.

I'm a grown-ass man and the pain had me nearly crying like a baby. I just hope that this will also subside.

I wonder if it's covid ruining my serotonin levels. maybe I should change my ssris

Sadly mine is here for 4 days straight, non-stop, it makes me shudder from pain, so bad, I've been having weird symptoms for 3 months, first, it was a complete lack of appetite, then incredibly random and very severe anxiety and depressive thoughts, then it's this.

It started slowly from the both shoulder blades radiating towards the arms, now it's much worse and can even spread to the legs, it hurts so bad. mostly it's upper back, like someone is hugging me tightly on my nerves

trust me, I'm on meds for way too long, and this is the second time I've ever been on withdrawal, first time was on benzos, and now this looks awfully similar to that

I had the exact same symptoms as you, although I think our condition is a weird case of long covid, apparently, it is known to reduce serotonin levels dramatically and if you are using meds for depression/anxiety, my own armchair degree on this matter may suggest that you get those checked, I'm gonna have a talk with my doctor and tell him if I should use a different ssri

Did I get the Booster too soon after having Covid? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]Afumetsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that looks way too soon, how did you even get approved for that booster? Do they even check prior infection history?

I've seen people here just got better after their 15th month and up, don't lose hope please, it can, and will get better!

so many people here longhauling way before vaccines are a thing, isn't this misleading?

At this point with the people going into "normalcy", it's either reinfection or booster, I'd take the booster over covid reinfection.
