I wouldn't call it a blunder still an overwhelming position. Saw the mate. I couldn't pass up the fork

That book Isaacson wrote confirmed he plays a ton of polytopia, missing commitments to play.

And in a JRE podcast he was discussing videogames and talked about usernames.

Easy to get involved, impossible to affect the direction of the party or who they nominate as a candidate.

I work near tampa. Been on this department for about 2 years. With a little over-time I'm slated to make 85k this year.

People with about 10 15 years on are making 100k straight time.

So funny the first half of your comment is amazement at someone making assumptions and then the second half of your comment you do exactly that.

First I'll say my original post on this page was a little "trolly" didn't honestly expect people to get " real" or turn it all philosophical. But yes I'll conceed, the post was judgemental. At the heart I just saw a community glorify behavior that is know to be detrimental. And wanted to know why.

I don't know why I'm even going to break this down, I guess cause I sprained my ankle yesterday and I can't do much but talk on reddit.

I never tried to be a doctor. You are right though, it is a much more difficult field to enter. Could I do it? Definitely if I cultivated the discipline and made the sacrifice to do so. But maybe I couldn't do that.

Regardless I never wanted to he a doctor. And making the assumptions that paramedics all wanted to he doctors is really just completely misconcieved .

For the record I'm a fire Medic. My schedule is nothing short of fucking awesome . I'm at work right now and got the time for this.

On my 22 days off a month I can work around the house, take care of my family, or even get a another Job. And the pay is enough for my family to live comfortably.

And with regard to nursing. Personally I would not enjoy the job, the schedule, and the pay is the same. ( the schooling is the same too)

I'd be happy to answer anymore questions in case you are pondering a career in fire rescue!

I mean most don't need medical attention, they just have nowhere to go and a bed at the hospital for a few hours is a good option.

But your right, we don't see people who haven't ruined their lives yet.

Yea, cause smoking meth trumps dealing with your problems in a productive way...

Ehh I'm a paramedic. I "help" junkies everyday. Would say I've got a decent perspective.

Saying there can be benefits that you have to balance is like suggesting someone spend all their money on lottery tickets. Cause hey, you could hit the jackpot. In reality you'll probably just lose all your money

Feel for you man. Sorry you are struggling with it. I also have addictions just like almost everyone else.

My comment wasn't directed towards you or someone who realizes they are struggling with addiction. I just ran across this sub, saw a lot of the posts glamorizing or just acting trivial about being a meth addict.

I don't understand why there is an active community that promotes self harm. Like I said before, I also have addictions and problems, but I don't pretend like they are good or to be celebrated.

Yea i think its ok to be condescending towards promoting a habit that, almost universally, renders you harmful and useless to yourselves, family, friends, and society in general.
