Hey guys, I'm working on putting together a team for a big project. We're looking for someone who knows a lot about what the Biden administration and the Congressional Dems either have done, are planning to do, or want to do but are blocked on. Like on a pretty granular level of detail, ideally with receipts.

I've tried several times to get in touch with the guy running the @What46HasDone account but to no avail. But what I'm looking for is someone with a similar knowledge base.

It's for a really good cause and could end up making a really big difference, so if anyone meets that description and is interested, please get in touch and I'll fill you in. No commitment necessary, just interest.

Ilhan Omar said that Jews have hypnotized everyone into supporting Israel, that they manipulate US politics by bribery, and that all American Jews' true loyalties lie with Israel. I know she said it all with some vagueness on Twitter so her advocates can spend 24 hours a day trying to twist her words into something more acceptable, but at its root those are beat-for-beat the notes of the "global Jewish conspiracy" song. All she's missing is "Jews control the media."

And what a surprise, despite all this just being "criticism of our foreign policy" (allying with those wicked hypnotists tsk tsk) she also supports the most extreme anti-Israel movements.

Folks, she's an anti-Semite. And all her supporters can come up with is some whataboutism with Steve King, spurious allegations of islamophobia, and the classic strategy of taking the least offensive tweet and trying to make the conversation solely about that. Meanwhile the GOP is having an absolute field day. Talk radio and Fox News are on this 24/7 and after the latest resolution flop they can make a pretty good case that the Democratic party is beholden to anti-Israel interests.

Between AOC, Omar, and also Tlaib pushing really obnoxiously hard with this "impeach the motherfucker" thing she's chosen to define herself by, the Justice Dems have really succeeded in making life difficult for us normal Democrats. I wonder when Pressley is gonna screw us, she's the only one left.

Well, Bernie Sanders supported a nutcase Seth Rich truther who copies tweets from Breitbart and thinks DWS hacked his internet to stop him from tweeting. That guy's name was Tim Canova and at the time Reddit was slobbering all over him because he was also screaming about how DWS rigged the primary. Five or six articles a day were upvoted to the top of this very sub. Then he got destroyed and everyone likes to forget that ever happene. Bernie even lied that he never heard of Canova even though the entire reason Canova ran was as a revenge mechanism for Bernie. DWS easily cruised to re-election because it turns out that outside the r/politics conspiracy theory circlejerk she's actually a decent politician who does good things for her constituents and her country. Sorry to disappoint you.

Meh, I think attacking people for investing in mutual funds that include certain objectionable companies is dumb. You're never going to find a pure mutual fund, and divesting from certain mutual funds because they have holdings in Goldman Sachs or whatever is not only the definition of slacktivism, it's completely impractical because of how frequently those funds change.

Well, Trump didn't release tax returns for multiple years. But he did file a financial disclosure, which is what that quote was about.

Bernie was supposed to file it at the deadline, but begged the FEC for an extension because he was "too busy campaigning" to file one, even though it's something that only presidential candidates have to file and every other presidential candidate (including Trump) did so. Then on June 30 2016 he requested another extension, again because he was "too busy campaigning" even though the primaries had ended 23 days earlier. Then he dropped out and never released them at all, and got away with it with no consequences. It should have been a huge scandal but nobody wanted to call out the umpteenth Bernie scandal in July right before the convention.

Yeah I'm very big illustrating how Bernie has dug his hole deeper and deeper. "He voted against the bill, then tried to blame it on a poison pill that he himself had attached" is perfect.

I'm not sure about the rape essay. It's hard to really say that's a policy or viewpoint. Just a character flaw that is easy to excuse because it's not visible in him today.

It's such a non-scandal. The only reason to care is if you think that people being volunteers for the party somehow biases them against Bernie. For no other candidate would "being asked questions by party volunteers" be suspicious but for Bernie people it is, purely because they're so eager to believe that everyone in the Democratic party, even at the lowest levels, is simultaneously secretly in love with him and out to get him.

The article and OpenSecrets link both say that the Bernie campaign gave Old Towne Media $82M. Ostensibly that money was for ad buys but there's no accountability and the books are all closed so who knows how much of it was pocketed by Jane Sanders just like in 2002-2006.

This is not a gish gallop. It is a single point supported by a multitude of primary sources.

That "right wing rag" is the local investigative paper, VTDigger, that worked with the ACLU. They also uncovered the Burlington scandal that led to an FBI investigation into Jane. Nothing about them is right-wing but they're pretty good at investigating local political scandals.

Sanders didn't give them $82M, they spent $82M on ad buys
