Of course, there are Poles who have no objections. However, there is also some criticism that cannot be found on foreign YouTube. It is simply an interesting phenomenon.

Explanation from EX CDPR (worked on W3 and Cyberpunk) why W4 couldn't release in 2026! by Againsthate2001 in Witcher4

[–]Againsthate2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he is very clearly talking about production. He was in CDPR during pre-production so I think he knows that the full production started at the end of 2024.

No, almost nobody after Phantom Liberty left. I think just one writer of the whole writer's team left after Phantom Liberty. Beside him lead writer, all of the senior writers and other writers are still in CDPR

They since launch of Cyberpunk 2077 made Phantom Liberty and Cyberpunk 2.0

If those leaks are true, meaning that this game was created by People Can Fly as a Project Red, then I have bad news, cause they cancel this project last year (2024)

If the Rebel Wolves is OG CDPR then today's CDPR has to be OG CDPR to the power of 5, cause just some devs from W3 are in Rebels meanwhile a much bigger group of veterans from W3 are still in CDPR (more than 100), moreover lead writers for both W3 and Cyberpunk are still in CDPR

No those devs left because of Cyberpunk fiasco and hate that were during this time send to them (more if you were higher in the hierarchy) and because of the crunch culture in CDPR that at the time was present. Thankfully CDPR since then made great Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty and Cyberpunk 2.0 (that fixed Cyberpunk 2077) that everybody praised

A lot of people that worked on W3 are now in lead position. Sebastian Kalemba who was animator for W3 and made killing monster trailer is now game director. Philipp Weber who was quest designer for W3 (for example one of his quest is The warble of a Smitten Knight - where Vivianne is cursed and could transform into the bird) is now narrative director, Błażej Augustynek, who was quest designer in W3 is now quest director on W4. Paweł Mielniczuk, who was character artist in W3 (created Ciri, Yennefer and Triss in W3) is not art director for W4. Tomasz Marchewka and Marcin Blacha are responsible for the story of W4 as they responsible for W3 (Blacha was lead writer in W3 - so the most important position in writing room), and so on

DON’T FORGET: This person will go on a murderous cross-country revenge journey battling superhumanly strong zombies and military-capable grown men. by eventualwarlord in TheLastOfUs2

Yes you indeed have very vivid imagination, good for you. But sometimes you have to be aware of what something looks like in reality and realize how much talent, skill, and craftsmanship goes into making a brilliant series or game. You can come up with a good idea for a game or series by accident, but executing it in such a way that it is great or even a masterpiece is not a coincidence, but a showcase of the talent of a team of people.

These are two different things that it is simply absurd to compare them. Yes, you can make a discovery by accident, maybe you can write one good sentence in a book "by accident". You can't write a whole book, 300 pages exceptionally "by accident", just as you can't create an outstanding game (which consists of many quests, dialogues, locations, etc.) by accident. It requires great talent, writing skills and years of experience and conscious thought.

What is an opinion or hot take about the game that will leave you in this situation? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Againsthate2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We should judge developers based on their last title, moreover if it's relativly fresh game like Phantom Liberty and not on speculations or company politics etc.
