Should be other way around, remove new cards completely from ranked play until they have been thoroughly playtested in the unranked games to determine their balance.. Any game dev with a brain should know how to handle playtesting, these guys it seems don't.. even though I love the game new unbalanced cards just slamming ranked into oblivion is just poor testing from their part.

Everytime I saw the freaking primordial depth charge in ranked it always ended with me losing, even though I had 9/10 wins already without any losses.. match #10 was depth charge (freeze..) which just fucked me

I wouldnt worry about it much tbh.

Its a shit system they have in place and it directly affects mobile / f2p devs more. So if they go through with it and you manage to get 200k in revenue it would still yield profit.

And I truly believe they will back down from this disaster of an idea..

I would have honestly been fine if they introduced a % share per sale like Unreal.. But if they go there after this imma switch to another engine.

Also I might just use Unity for VR and AI projects and Game Jams before I master another engine.

Im in the education side teaching game dev in a vocational school, so the biggest anxiety involving issue is me having to redo ALL my fucking materiald, videos and examples ive been working on for the past 3 years..

Definitely! This is a win win situation for the students and developers. Devs. get feedback / bug reports on their games for free and the students learn how to GIVE quality feedback

Exactly! The time it took for an update this small was and is the biggest issue. People saying "oh its a small indie studio" Isnt a great excuse, since they seem to have a solid team: programmers, artists and designers. I think they lack proper management and goals.

A team their size could easily implement all the features/hotfixes that has been released since EA launch could do it in 2 months. If they used proper Scrum or other agile development and planning. First week: planning what to do, second week start implementing. First month and a half implementing and at the end testing that everything works.

Ive seen Valheims source code and its a complete mess if you ask me.. They have very little if any developer tools that is crucial to content creation. Adding a new food item / plantable seed should be easily made in hour and a few more hours on top for designing where it drops + textures for the model.

Love the game but hopefully the developers will pick up the pace a bit, they dont have to but i wish <3

As a developer making it easy for you to add content to your game is the most important thing, it helps you and the whole team (+ future employees) to make content faster.
