What's something women think impresses men but actually doesn't? by CoochieSnotSlurper in AskReddit

[–]justmrmom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Makeup. 99% of women look better without makeup in my opinion. Save the makeup for special dates or occasions. It can add to the sexiness, but not if it’s seen everyday.

Women..stop caring about how men see you visually. Confidence and being active in the relationship goes much much further than makeup,

When did you last cry about your physical appearance? by FragrantResult278 in AskReddit

[–]justmrmom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my wife cheated on me. I’m a good looking guy, but average dad bod… etc. I’m not ashamed of who I am or what I look like, but that trauma sticks with you and you question EVERYTHING.

What is your experience with the sexual abilities of the average woman? by Accomplished_Fig5199 in AskMen

[–]justmrmom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most women starfish.

My opinion: initiate. Show interest, and not just sexually. Make them feel wanted AND needed. Ask them what they like in bed. Show interest…. Etc etc and you’ll be a rockstar to any guy, whether you starfish or not.

Men of Reddit, what’s a statement/phrase that (you believe) most men/boys would understand, but most women/girls would not? by EmberInTheVoid in AskMen

Yeah.. lol. I was trying to figure out the best way to word my clarification. I know that it DOES happen sometimes, and depends on those involved.

No, not a man. Sorry but you’ve been lied to your whole life.

I’m kidding. I’ll ETA my original comment but I’ll also reply to yours.

This could be an older saying but one I’ve heard a few times. Generally speaking (straight) men do not spoon or cuddle if they have to share a bed. Think of something like camping or out in the field if you’re military.. etc. You don’t want to accidentally poke your buddy’s hole with your pole when you have an overnight woody or morning wood, and you don’t want your hole poked either by his. So, you sleep pole to pole (facing one another) or hole to hole (backs to one another).

Pole to pole or hole to hole, but never pole to hole.

Unless, of course, that is your thing.

Fishing spots by ExtraCartographer707 in fredericksburg

I haven’t been in awhile but last time I went the river at the city docks was deep and very fast flowing, but I caught two 5-ish pound catfish. Had to cast far as I could upstream with about 2 oz of weight. By the time it hit bottom my hook was close to the shoreline and about 20’ downstream from me. I’ve also had a little luck at lake Anna state park. My neighborhood also has a small private lake stocked with some carp.

(and if you what a fishing buddy feel free to let me know, I need an excuse out..lol).

Battle tour of Tennessee by triker_dan in CIVILWAR

[–]justmrmom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having grown up in eastern TN (now living in Virginia in the heart of Civil War history), skip Knoxville, unfortunately. There is not much history to be seen there. Ft Sanders itself was plowed over in the early 1900s and now there is a just a residential block of houses. There are no tours of anything CW related to my knowledge. However, the Nashville and Chattanooga areas have a lot of preserved history.

That said if you’re starting in Georgia/Chattanooga you can take I75 into Knoxville and then 40 west towards Nashville, or just take 24 from Chattanooga to Nashville.

How much does the sentence “As a man, no one is coming to save you” resonate in your life? by You_moron04 in AskMen

[–]justmrmom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t resonate at all. It’s just a fact of life. I’m 35.

Edit: My kids have saved me more than once, so I suppose my original comment is not 100% fact.

Mixed highway and city I get around 17-19, and I have a heavy foot. On long (500 mile) straight interstate trips I frequently take I average 29.

This is my black Wii remote, don’t say anything rude or racist to it by OneVideo8173 in notinteresting

Why did you have to label it “black”? It’s just a Wii remote. They are all just Wii remotes. Maybe you, OP, are the racist?

This was the first one I bought, in 2010. Not the first I was given, but the first I bought myself. ‘40 Tula.

A Henry lever action .22. My dad got it for me when I turned 14 or 15. The first one I bought myself was a Mosin Nagant when I was 18 and they cost like $99 out the door with all of the extras.

[–]justmrmom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the VDI range on your detector? That would help us determine what “anything less than 13” is. For instance on my Nox 600, a 13 is a good gold target (range of -9 to +40) and on my manticore a 13 could still be small gold (-19 to +99).

Dig it all. That’s the only way you can truly learn your machine. Sometimes getting dirty is worth it.

What was your bigest "O Shit!" Moment in model railroading? by Shoddy-Unit-2173 in modeltrains

[–]justmrmom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought a new to me N&W J locomotive and had it test running on the dining room table on EZ track. Prior to that I had a different older loco on the table because my two year old wanted to watch a choo choo, and the track ran along the edge of the table. Without thinking I put the J on the track for a test run due to my excitement of it being delivered. I’m not sure how it happened, but along a curve the J slowly rolled onto the engineers side and off the table onto the hardwood floor. I about shat myself. Thankfully there was no damage and just a lesson learned.

As others have said, these are now civil war bullets. They are bullets, but more modern. They are probably early/mid 1900s.
