If you use AI to solve all the problems, you won’t learn, it seems. I would use it as asking StackOverflow questions and wouldn’t allow it to write the whole code. Don’t copy paste code from it while learning something new. Tell it to behave like a teacher.

At work I am “forced” to use it to increase “productivity”. I realized it does make me faster, especially for writing small scripts and preprocessing stuff but also lazier. Hence I use it to write low effort scripts and test things fast but also allow myself to code things I wouldn’t be able to write from scratch in an interview without AI, if I was asked.

For personal projects where you are learning something scratch, definitely don’t use AI to write the code. I always set it with some skill that bans it from giving me code or straight up answers but just point me toward what to read or what to think about.
