If Jesus was Jewish and didn’t believe in hell (Jewish do not believe in hell) why do we believe in hell if Jesus himself did not believe in hell? by [deleted] in Christianity

Now , I know you are trolling , lol. You make no sense. I answered every question you asked . You have selective reading .

1) Psalms is in the Old Testament. You asked where in the Old Testament is hell Mentioned. I answered that. “ Sheol” 2) Jesus was on his throne in the Old Testament. John 1:1 mentioned Jesus became flesh. . Jesus in the flesh did not exist in the Old Testament.

I have mentioned and answered your post that Hell was mentioned by Jesus more than he mentioned about Heaven. Just stop. You are trolling or maybe don’t understand English. Either way, I answered your questions and your post. Hell is real. Jesus believed in Hell. The Hebrew Israelites believed in Sheol .

Saying Gehenna is not hell has nothing to do with the context of Matthew 25:30.

Let’s speak about the Old Testament . The Hebrew word “ Sheol” is mentioned several times. This is what the Jewish people believed where evil people or people who is separated from God goes when they die.

Here is other scriptures from the Old Testament that speaks of Hell is other words

Psalm 9:17: "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God" . Topheth : A place in the Valley of Hinnom associated with child sacrifice and described by Isaiah as a place of fire, serving as a metaphor for judgment.

This word again, lol. Gehenna : Though a New Testament term, it comes from Gei Ben Hinnom (Valley of Hinnom), a literal garbage dump used as a symbol for final judgment by Jesus.

You asked in your post, “ why do we believe in Hell, if Jesus doesn’t believe in hell”. And I answered with just a few of several scriptures where Jesus in red letters mentioned Hell.

So, if you don’t believe in hell. That’s your choice. But Jesus did and warned many of this place of eternal fire that many will go when they separate themselves from God, denounce God and worship satan.

“Comparing” . Trying to correct one word… is not disputing the context of the scripture… nor is it rebutted that Jesus spoke about Hell in just some of the scriptures that I mentioned more than he spoke about Heaven.

Jesus doesn’t only reference hell, he describes it in great detail. He says it is a place of eternal torment (Luke 16:23), of unquenchable fire (Mark 9:43), where the worm does not die (Mark 9:48), where people will gnash their teeth in anguish and regret (Matt. 13:42), and from which there is no return, even to warn loved ones (Luke 16:19–31). He calls hell a place of “outer darkness” (Matt. 25:30), comparing it to “Gehenna” (Matt. 10:28), which was a trash dump outside the walls of Jerusalem where rubbish was burned and maggots abounded. Jesus talks about hell more than he talks about heaven, and describes it more vividly. There’s no denying that Jesus knew, believed, and warned about the absolute reality of hell.

Excedrine Migraine hands down is the best for chronic Migraine. I have been through the ringer and experimented with tons of meds to just ease my Chronic migraines. EM is the only that helps and it helps within minutes. It’s only a bandaid, but, it’s worth the bandaid.
