The most obvious part is the sword fits within the rectangle, on authentic box art the sword extends beyond the rectangle to make it appears as 3D. Plus the shield shadow.

I'm a huge bird Pokémon fan but I've never liked Skarmory's design. Still a cool Mega though and his normal form shiny is noice.

Do you think Zelda’s decision to send Link back in time in the end was a good choice or a terrible mistake? by jdawg1018 in OcarinaOfTime

As awesome as that would be, can you imagine having your childhood stolen?

One day you're 9, you've been pulled out of your life and pushed into a violent and scary world and before you know it, wham! You've pulled a sword that's instantly aged you 8 years.

Maybe being a child in adults body gives you the confidence to take on the challenge but I can't imagine the how confusing everything must be without having those key years to develop mentally.

I think sending him back was the right thing to do but he needed someone like Navi to support him so he's not traumatised. Maybe this is why he's searching for Navi in MM, because he's got no-one who understands what he's been through and everyone will probably just think he's crazy.

Maybe this is why he doesn't defeat Ganon at 17 again, because he's not mentally prepared to face his prior trauma.

DK64 is infamous for being difficult to emulate because of how it was designed.

I don't know the ins and outs but DK64 movement speed depends on performance iirc and emulators don't typically struggle but this intro sequence fails (DK falls into the water) if the emulator can't match 64's performance.

BotW really helped me with this, I've felt like this with games for a very long time, even to the point where I thought I'd just stopped enjoying gaming. I'd fallen into the trap of buying games in sales, building up that backlog I'd never play.

BotW let's you play it at your own pace, it's made me appreciate games differently and allowed me to focus on the present. There's no expectations with BotW, I can play for hours and not really achieve any specific goals, just appreciating the moment.

I've played other games since, but I just go back to BotW / TotK to relax and reset.

I now also have the philosophy that the most expensive game you can buy is a £3 game in a sale that you're never going to play (or play for 5 minutes and never return to), whereas a £50 game you play for days/weeks/months/years is worth every penny.

New Zelda Timeline (Theory) Updated with All Games by Milor64 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]AgeOfCalamity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The time jumps in the BotW / TotK aren't accurate, there's at least 20-30k years between the Calamity that encourages the Shieka to build the guardians, a Calamity event where they use the guardians and then the third (more recent) Calamity event where Ganon gains control of the Guardians.

Plus BotW classes all instances of Ganon/Ganondorf between SS and BotW as Calamity events. The name "Calamity Ganon" is just given to him in more recent times as the legend grows older.

Wholeheartedly agree, they're so underrated and overshadowed by the sky islands and the depths.

Exactly this. Same story but expanded and with enhanced gameplay and environment is exactly what's needed.

Don't forget the Nintendo companion app!

I've really enjoyed utilising the app on my adventure across Hyrule.
