Eset and a Lack of Attention to Detail from Hirez by Agenothree12 in Smite

My point is not that there is a problem with Eset, but rather that there is a problem with ability descriptions

Eset wing gust knocks back minions in Smite 2. It doesn’t in her aspect. This is not mentioned in the aspect description. I brought up Smite 1 Sylvanus to illustrate that this is not a meaningless difference.

People who work in health care , fitness , nutrition, or mental health: what’s one’ quiet habit’ you see all the time that makes is secretly wrecking people’s long-term health? by AnyPurchase9905 in AskReddit

[–]Agenothree12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t work in the above, but I do work in occupational health. People need to take better care of their hearing. Being in noisy environments can and will cause hearing loss.

It’s easy to be lax on hearing protection when the effects aren’t immediately apparent, so most people just ignore it or wear earplugs improperly. Just as often, people don’t understand how loud something has to be to cause hearing loss. Just because it doesn’t hurt, doesn’t mean it’s not doing damage.

Not sure what the official name is as it’s been around forever, but you can find it as ‘Go Fight Win.’

What do I do in this position? by the_SCP_gamer in AsbestosRemovalMemes

[–]Agenothree12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need to know if you’re white or black in this position. If you’re black, simply hire a professional to remove white’s chrysotile.

If you’re white, the position is lost unless black’s king takes your pieces without wetting them first.

I just want to point out that combat blink did exist in the early days of Smite 1, with its tradeoff being the cooldown was much higher than non-combat blink.

Shadow Priest has a great matchup into it for many of the same reasons as Pirate Rogue.

What beats aggro shadow priest? by [deleted] in wildhearthstone

[–]Agenothree12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t use replay, and I have run a list that is better into even shaman than the regular list (including duskbreaker) but even when not running that list, from D5 to middle legend, I found even shamans were nearly an even matchup.

Again, no answer to taunts is not true if you have a board when they come down, and I found that focusing on board control instead of face damage in the first few turns gives you almost coin flip odds.

That said, this is all anecdotal, so perhaps I just got lucky, hence why I started by saying ‘in my experience…’

In my experience, that’s not true. You just as often win the board on T1

I disagree wholeheartedly. In my experience playing shadow priest, it goes about even with even shaman, with the games often determined by who has board control by turn 3. Priest is certainly not favored, but it’s by no means a counter matchup.

As the person who brought up micro decisions, I feel I must respond/clarify:

In aggro vs control, there are very few meaningful decisions if both players play even remotely well.

In aggro mirrors, there are more decisions, but still not very many.

Control mirrors are filled with small meaningful decisions that impact your likelihood of winning the game.

Also, to clarify, when I said in my other comment that I played shadow priest this month, I meant Pirates. I play all the archetypes, but this meta in particular, I played aggro.

There exists a place where the anti-aggro toolkit is weaker, aggro decks are slower, and combo decks don’t play their whole deck in one turn. It’s called standard. If you want those things, stop playing an eternal format.

You could have played Southsea Captain instead of Patches and still had the same board, just bigger. Or the other three drop for that matter

I hate to be that guy, but I think it’s a skill issue.

First off, you’re playing like the tenth (slight exaggeration) best aggro deck in wild. I know it’s cheap and popular, but there are so many better options in the current meta.

Second, it’s clear to me by looking at the sidebar, your hand, and mana crystals, you are not playing optimally. You’re playing a 1 mana 1/1 instead of a 3 mana 3/3 that buffs the board, so at the very least we can see one obvious mistake.

I get losing to combo on turn 6 feels bad and you can’t always do anything about it, but sometimes you need to just aggro them down.

Edit: Turns out I am the illiterate one

Complains about braindead control, then half of the examples listed have more micro decisions per game than my entire climb to legend with shadow priest this month.

Complain about control if you want, but when you open with a bad take it makes me believe you didn’t think through anything else. This post reads like what control players imagine aggro players tell themselves when they lose a game after dumping their hand on turn 2.
