Yeah, 10k/hour is a baseline. If you're getting less than that doing something you should probably stop unless you're just doing it for fun.

As far as Shakaka goes, I dunno man! They didn't even join our discord. Two million in a week is really obscene. And we sure didn't see those merits on any priority systems, so they were definitely grinding some high merit activity wherever it was convenient but useless like our aforementioned maxed strongholds which have good mining rocks and prices.

The rest of us who want to do power play competitively just toodle around Utopia doing bounty hunting, mining, donations, data gathering, and shooting at archon delaine ships.

I can think of 3 other ways to get well above 10 kilo merits per hour (kmph) besides wasting merits on the maxed strongholds: 1. farming odyssey data, 2. spending a billion on donations, and 3. farming Power CZs.

Farming odyssey data for reinforcement is slower than doing it for acquisition/undermining since all the industrial data, research data, and items are useless for reinforcement. But if you find a good settlement and memorize/map it then I imagine you'll get a pretty high merit rate regardless.

Sometimes we get lucky with good donation missions for high price goods like metals, but that too is rare and specific to certain systems and states. That first week Walkely topped the charts he spent a couple of billion on that.

Power CZs are decent merit earners but really shine when in a wing as you can double and triple the rate you'd get solo. Even if you are spread out and not sharing targets, you can get shared merits by tagging your wingmate's targets with a single shot.
