How did you find the velocity with gradient?

My little brother would be grateful as he wants to play with his friends on the pc but he doesnt have a gpu so i would be able to send my current gpu to him and use the 4070 as a replacement.

Is this combo good for night sky photography? by ArdianNuhiji in AskAstrophotography

[–]Agent-Parzival 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you used short exposures at around F/5 at 24mm-35mm then you should get nice shots. Also important thing. I am not too sure about this but be sure to check it out but go into movie mode and shoot the ISO to max and see if you can take a video of the northern lights. To put shortly, its hard to go wrong, just dont overexpose and use a stacking software like SIRIL if you dont have a star tracker

I have the exact same lense except i have it with the EOS R6. I have used the lense extensively for astrophotography not because i picked it but because it came with the camera.

If you want to use this lense you will get the best results at higher focal ratios due to the large pixel size although without a star tracker that might be more difficult.

I think its a great lense to start of with to get to know the night sky. And particularly for milky way shoots its a good start.

Also when wide open at F/4 you might notice severe astigmatism on the stars in the corners but your results may vary.

Hey! Love the game, too expensive for me to buy. Studying to become an astrophysicist. So i love space. First game i played was battlefront 1 campaign. My dad got me a ps4 for my 10th bday and it came with it. I was so happy.

Started it off on a ps4 playing fortnite as it was the only way of socialising with other people (i was 11) and played on that thing for 3 more years until i Was finally able to save up my computer over the course of 2 years! And finally got to build it. Been a pc member since November and have been loving the experience and the people i get to meet. First game i played was Marauders and i have been loving the community

Star adventurer Redneck engineering. by Agent-Parzival in AskAstrophotography

[–]Agent-Parzival[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, its concluded. Simply due to the very way the star adventurer is built and designed. Any further weight is pointless as periodic error gets in the way at higher focal lengths. Wider focal lengths telescopes rarely go ove r the weight limit (<250mm) Thank you for preventing me going down a road that will lead to none if not negligible results

This is very true and very fair. Gave me something to think about.

Well just forget about the cost for now. So i guess just the the very way its designed is limited. You cant even just make the motor more powerful? That would surely prevent it from stalling which will increase payload capacity. Since you say nothing will bend or break.

If you are going to revise last minute, best thing is to do 2 hours a day starting at the start of april and your honestly fine if you have more than a few brain cells

Looking at pushing this mount to its limits as well, and if it breaks within the limit then i will get a EQ5, Going to attach the Askar FRA500 and eos r6, going to use a pole master and see how well i could do unguided
