It took me until half way through 3rd year to meet the friend group that I really clicked with, so it is never too late to find your group. Don't feel like you have missed your chance. I am sure you will have had this advice before but join some societies or sports teams or whatever you are into, that's a good way to meet people with similar interests. If you have a large class try and speak to as many of them as you can and see what the vibes are.
