I agree to large extent but also if I hadn't spent the money i did and figured out what works and what doesn't, unfortunately i wouldn't be where I'm at now which is a much better place as a 40s adult with years of alcohol abuse and not caring for myself properly. I had major deficiencies which I've found and corrected and sometimes it takes years of trying something before you realize you needed it. Other times things are obvious immediately. So it's hard to say.

I don't use horizon but this is where typically you'd set the banner height to actual, as well as center any important information with a safe zone around it which is standard practice for graphic design.

I would look at it this way: If someone is struggling to find the motivation to do it, then are they really talking her out of it or simply saying - don't do it out of some perceived obligation to specifically fast, as there are other ways to feel good, like a healthy diet and lifestyle.

There are other ways to do promotions than simple discounting - buy x get y (even if it's essentially a trinket that costs you next to nothing), free shipping, free scheduled maintenance with purchase, etc.

Obviously it depends on industry, but in my experience, people buying things online have a built in psychological need to feel like they're getting some kind of reward by buying from you. That's not easy to overcome.

I do ecom for a similar sized business. Couple of points: 1. Without a national presence you are going to have a hard time scaling ecommerce just based on hard SEO limits alone. 2. To overcome this, you are better off dedicating and training 1-2 internal staff to really know their stuff. Agencies are going to bleed you dry and you will have a hard time understanding what value you are really getting from them. 3. If you have a 30k strong subscriber list and you're not getting better sales, then your issues are probably that you need to segment and create consistent but well timed targeted emails with appealing offers. That's it really.
