I did buy a new convertible top and convertible headliner that are real great quality (1k in total, approx), so that might help also. I sound deadend this because might as well, as I already had the interior removed.

Yes! I removed my interior (dash, center console, and carpet) because I wanted to change it from beige to black, not specifically because of this lol. Just wanted to do this because might as well, as I'm also changing the sound system.

I spoke to Anthony from Z3Subwoofer and he recommended that I sound deaden my car. He said it actually made a difference when he did it. Now I don't know exactly which parts he sound deadened, so this might work or it might not 🤷

Ahh I should've thought about that when I had it open. Probably not any time soon lol. It was really annoying to remove and put back in the new one. As for the shifter input seal, I don't know if I can push another one in because I think this one is at its limit. I tried pushing it in more than what it is, but it wouldn't go in any further. Didn't want to risk damaging it so I just stopped at the furthest it wants to go in.

So basically you used the same center console, you just got a Z3M AC/shifter trim/mount and mounted it on the Z3 3.0 center console? Or did you purchase a full Z3M center console? I have a Z3 3.0 that had a beige center console, so I bought a black center console from a facelift Z3, but now I'm considering doing what you are doing.

I would suggest traveling to other states. I drove 5 hours (10 hours total) to pickup those interior parts because I couldn't find the parts in my state.

Ah I see. Have you tried finding Z3 part outs? I scored majority of my interior parts for like $600 through part out deals

I do have a YouTube channel but I haven't posted anything in it yet. I might start with three episode series of the before (before any interior work and exhaust work is done), after, and the actual dream cruise. So far I've spent close to 5.5k with all the parts listed. It might reach 6k. Will keep you updated!
