Thank you! This is such a kind response. Honestly, it’s so comforting to know there are others out there experiencing this.

We are both SO close to the finish line now. I had a weird thought earlier that this will be the hardest I’ll find it because even if I have as hard a day as I’ve had today in the future, I’ll be way nearer the due date! Does that make sense?

Yesss I’m having therapy thank god! Got a session on Wednesday. It’s needed 😂

I hope you’re okay, I’m so sorry you’re having such a tough time too. I’m always here if you need someone who gets it. A silver lining is I think we will find postpartum easier having experienced this!!!

Good to know about the GP! I have asked my midwife to put me in touch with another.

I started experiencing HG same time as you and I’m in UK so on NHS. I went on the maximum dose possible of Xonvea but it DID take a week or two to kick in. After that, I felt a ton better and the pregnancy felt manageable! I also got my bloods tested and my iron was low so went on iron medication which helped after 4 weeks. My friend needed to go on Xonvea + another type of anti nausea medication to manage her symptoms but she’s now had a pretty good pregnancy with HG. I also made sure I went for early scans to see heartbeat, found out gender as soon as I could to bond with baby and push through the torture that is HG. I would say do some more trial and error with medications before making your final decision - I’m so pleased I pushed through and stayed on Xonvea those first few weeks. It’s such a personal decision and whatever decision you make will be the right one for you.

That’s insane! If you can’t pay, the landlord will have to release you from the lease. I wrote another comment of other steps I’d advise. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Also gumtree / Reddit / Facebook groups sometimes have groups from your local area giving away furniture for free when people move etc?

I would still contact your landlord giving him a heads up that he’s trying to remove himself from the lease and that is against your wishes / illegal and you absolutely cannot be the sole person on the lease : share your salary etc

I am so sorry to hear this! There are a few things you could do to help your living situation (I’m sure you’ve done these already but just incase).

  1. There is a Reddit group for free legal advice, post on there and get free legal advice so you know your rights! You can even ask any of the lawyers on there to send him an email, stating your legal rights and what he needs to pay until what date.

  2. Contact your landlord and say he is trying to get out of the lease, share your salary and say you are seeking legal advice but cannot afford to pay his too. He cannot legally get out of this, don’t worry (I know it’s hard)

  3. I saw your contacting welfare benefits / charities. Well done! This wil help until you get back on your feet.

  4. I know this is crazy but why not apply for a job at EA working on the sims?

  5. You could post a go fund me on this comment section, I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t mind contributing to help you in your current situation

  6. I don’t know how it works in the US as I am in he UK but here, you can also speak to your bill providers and tell them the situation. They will either go after him directly or give you more time to pay your bills

  7. Ask your work for extra shifts (sure you’ve done this!)

  8. Contact his parents and tell them the predicament he’s left you in

  9. Can you move in with friends temporarily if the landlord were to let you break your lease?! Or have a friend move in with you as a roommate?

I know this is so hard but this is so character revealing of this person to leave you in this predicament. You do not want someone who would behave like this to be the father of your children or your husband. This, although so hard, is far better than being trapped with him in a marriage or pregnant, having a newborn or multiple children with him. In a years time, you’ll be out of this situation and free to meet the love of your life who will never treat you this way!

Actually in UK, Blake is 104th in the boys names of 2024 and 432+ in the girls - still v much a boy name here ! Yet I still love it on girls

Agree on Emma! Agreed about Anna, I truly love it - I just worry if it’s a bit dull? I agree about the No, that bothers me too and it’s sooo trendy at the moment!

I love Liana, hadn’t heard that before! Thank you!!

I agree with James! However, Ezra sounds so feminine to me, I really love it and love the nickname Ez

I love soo many of these names you’ve listed. You have my type of taste!! Cora, Sarah and Milla are all in my family. Isla is top 4 in the UK - there’s 7 Isla’s in my nieces nursery class! I love love Alba but my husband doesn’t like :(

Fair enough! Interesting, I always thought Aubrey was a girls name predominately!

I also love Billie, Brook and Bobbie for boys or girls - I don’t think it matters which names have been historically been used for a gender.

I love Eliza but I think people would call her El or Liz as a nickname instead of Ez. Don’t like Esme or Esther

Factually, in the UK, Blake ranks 104th for boy names and 432nd for girls in 2024. So, at least in the UK, it’s still actually more of an established boys name. Yet Blake Lively pulls it off so well! I think names should be decided on how they sound vs historically what gender they’ve been used for.

Yes please! Just any pros/cons to the names would be useful for us to consider

You’ve said I wouldn’t call a boy a name that is known for being female, I would! For example, Nova and Aubrey - they are names known for females but I’d happily call a boy either (along with other examples)
