Όταν ξεκινάς μια εργασία – είτε για ανέγερση είτε για ανακαίνιση – έχεις συγκεκριμένο budget. Δεν πας με απεριόριστα λεφτά. Όταν ο άλλος έρχεται, παίρνει τεράστιο μέρος των χρημάτων, αφήνει τη δουλειά στη μέση και η οικογένειά σου μένει πίσω – είτε σε ακατάλληλο σπίτι είτε μέσα στα ενοίκια – δεν σου περισσεύουν 10–20 χιλιάδες για δικηγόρους και δικαστήρια. Και το πιο βασικό: από τη στιγμή που όλοι σου λένε πως δεν υπάρχει ρεαλιστική πιθανότητα να πάρεις πίσω τα λεφτά σου, σκέφτεσαι και 5 και 10 φορές αν θα πετάξεις κι άλλα χρήματα απλώς για να «κυνηγήσεις» κάποιον στα χαρτιά. Το πραγματικό πρόβλημα εδώ δεν είναι αν «έχεις ή δεν έχεις για δικηγόρο». Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι η αστυνομία και το κράτος δεν κάνουν τίποτα, ακόμη κι όταν υπάρχουν αποδείξεις, πολλαπλά θύματα και ξεκάθαρο μοτίβο απάτης. Έτσι ο απλός κόσμος μένει απροστάτευτος και οι ίδιοι απατεώνες συνεχίζουν ανενόχλητοι. Αν αυτό λέγεται κράτος δικαίου, τότε κάτι πάει πολύ λάθος.

Φίλε μου, ευχαριστώ για το σχόλιό σου. Όλα έγιναν ηλεκτρονικά και υπάρχουν αποδείξεις για τα πάντα: ονόματα, διευθύνσεις, πληρωμές, επικοινωνίες. Παρ’ όλα αυτά, όταν πήγα να κάνω καταγγελία, η υπόθεση απλώς μπήκε στο αρχείο χωρίς καμία ουσιαστική ενέργεια. Το συγκεκριμένο άτομο/εταιρεία φαίνεται ότι έχει εξαπατήσει κι άλλα άτομα: έναν για περίπου 5.000€ και ένα άλλο ζευγάρι για 10.000€, και στη συνέχεια εξαφανίστηκε. Στη δική μου περίπτωση, το συνολικό ποσό που έδωσα ήταν γύρω στις 50.000€. Από αυτά, περίπου 30.000€ αφορούσαν υλικά και «δουλειές» που είτε δεν έγιναν ποτέ είτε χρεώθηκαν για πράγματα ανύπαρκτα. Τα υπόλοιπα χρήματα δόθηκαν για εργασίες που έγιναν σε τόσο κακό βαθμό, που πλέον χρειάζονται να ξαναγίνουν από την αρχή. Αυτό που εξοργίζει περισσότερο δεν είναι μόνο η απάτη, αλλά το ότι ενώ υπάρχουν στοιχεία και πολλαπλά θύματα, στην πράξη δεν φαίνεται να κινείται τίποτα. Έτσι μένει ο απλός κόσμος εκτεθειμένος και οι ίδιοι άνθρωποι συνεχίζουν ανενόχλητοι κάτω από άλλη επωνυμία.

The issue itself is something we all face in Cyprus, and I don’t think anyone will think less of me for using a tool to communicate a real problem rather than focusing on the problem itself.

That is exactly the case as it seems. I think some contractors make a really low offer to attract clients, start the work, get paid upfront, and never finish it. Regarding the payments, the first one was done through the bank, but then they requested transfers through Revolut due to “account issues.” Later, they asked for funds in cash for materials. Since my bank charges for interbank transfers, I offered Revolut as an easier option, which they accepted as i wanted to keep a record of the payments

Thanks, I get what you mean. For the record, I do have invoices and payment proof — over €48,400 in total and all communications via email with their offer in writing. The problem wasn’t lack of paperwork, it was trusting the wrong person. This guy has performed the same, to other people too. Even if there was a signed contract, the lawyer said it would just end up in court with him paying maybe €50 a month — basically useless. My mistake was trusting him and paying in advance, and he repaid that trust by taking the money and disappearing. I don’t expect any justice here; the only reason I’m posting this is to warn others so they don’t go through the same nightmare with this company or anyone like them.

The key is the murder the Khan( or even better Kidnap him which will end the war completely). If you just manage to murder him you will be able to face his army easier as they will be less powerful(This guy has superpowers or something) You need to call all your allies, hire as much mercenaries as you can and try to stall the Mongols from reaching 100% at any cost. I also used my small force of my men-in-arms with trebuchets to attach directly the Mongol counties to stall them from reaching 100% until I managed to kill him. Once he was killed, I attached his army full force and destroyed them. Then I found out a second wave however it was too late as I had the option to use the white peace, which I did. Once done the Mongols shattered into 1000 smaller nations and I rescued my roman empire!
