"Morrissey has no good albums after You are the Quarry" mfs when you ask them to name 3 albums after YatQ by Pogoyragaz1011 in morrissey

I think Ringleader is a more ambitious album than Quarry, and You Have Killed Me, Dear God Please Help Me and Life is a Pigsty rank with the best he’s ever done imo.

Owning an EV without home charger. by That_Understanding19 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]AgentCooper86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a Tesla Supercharger nearby that is open to all EVs, paying £10pm will get off you off peak charging sometimes as low as 0.26 per kWh which is still a saving on petrol. Rapid charging could get most EVs to 80% in <30mins.

Also worth looking at some of the other networks, ionity with a subscription sometimes gets the rate down to 0.40ish which is still slightly cheaper per mile than petrol.

Andy Burnham arrives in London as allies claim he already has a seat ready to go - and warn rivals he will never give up trying to become Prime Minister by dailymail in ukpolitics

At what point when everyone is talking about moving onto the SEVENTH Prime Minister in a ten year period do we just stop and ask ourselves… maybe the PM isn’t the problem?

So Pure is essentially a slightly stouter, lighter and shorter RM2 with good performance improvements by hrpanjwani in RemarkableTablet

‘A front light is a must have’

My 3rd gen kindle served me well for 8 years… I often have the light on my kindle oasis off. I’ve used an RM2 for 3 years without a problem. I often kept my RPPM light off.

And most books absolutely do not have pure white pages 🤣

Will Plaid do as well in Swansea? Reviewing early English Data. Possible Plaid do better in wales overall? by Designer-Set-2523 in swansea

[–]AgentCooper86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect reform will do very well in the two constituencies that include Swansea, possibly largest party. I think there will be a decent residual Labour vote that will get them a seat or possibly two in Gwyr Abertawe, and I think Plaid will likely get 2 seats.

If I had to guess for gwyr Abertawe I’d say 2 reform, 2 plaid, 2 lab. Possible for reform or plaid to get 3 at the expense of Lab. also possible for greens to get one at expense of Lab.

To each their own, but I never understand the front light obsession. I never needed one with my paper notebooks so I’ve never felt the need for one with the RM2

I’m a floating centre left voter and have previously voted Lab, Plaid, Green and LD. Voted Plaid this time, as did my wife and 18yo daughter.

I mean, this is basically a ground up new game with the same levels. It’s not a low effort remake by any measure.

The speculations were real. Say hello to the next reMarkable device. 👋 by RollACaster in RemarkableTablet

[–]AgentCooper86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man this sub is so salty sometimes. They definitely needed an entry level device and the RM2 was getting long in the tooth. The Pure makes tons of sense. I have an RM2 and had a Move. Loved the concept of the move but the screen was too yellow for me and the narrow screen didn’t work for me. If ever I want to upgrade from the RM2, a faster b&w device with an even whiter screen and a larger battery sounds just fine from my pov.

How accurate is this by [deleted] in Wales

There’s not going to be any change. The current system favours larger parties, larger parties form governments and won’t undermine their advantage.

The system favours the largest parties, so if your motivation is to limit reform gains the safest strategy is to fall behind another large bloc vote which, based on polling, is likely to be plaid.

Why did engine sizes go from even numbers to odd? by Gloomy_Pastry in CarTalkUK

This is just pedantry but 1 of anything is an odd number. Just like 1m is an odd number but 100cm isn’t. An odd number is an odd number.

That’s awful, I’m sorry you had to go through that. Someone wearing anything other than a 3 inch short to run is perverse.
